"Beautiful small pub in the heart of the most beautiful environment. eating was amazing, local ales served and staff were friendly. dogs are welcome in the lower restaurant, but there is an upper section where dogs are not allowed. booking is a must, as it is rare to get a place without. we had luck, but also early. the hill that went back to our retreat was made to 100% harder with the amazing eating. well served."

"We stumbled upon this hotel by accident and were delighted we did. Our room was very comfortable and well appointed (we had a superior), the manager and staff could not have been more helpful and the food was truly excellent. Thoroughly recommended. 5 stars"

"Proper fish and chips. Really good portions. Excellent quality of fish, none of your grey mush. Really good crisp batter, no grease. Top nosh. Popular, even on a Thursday in February."

"I found the coffee very overpriced for the volume. The only food available was overpriced pre wrapped cakes and the seating area was closed. Not very welcoming on a fairly chilly day. I have no idea why there was no hot food -there were certainly enough customers trying to come in from the cold! Overall very inhospitable and I would not recommend them. Dietary restrictions: Who knows, but they had no plant milk. Wheelchair accessibility: Toilets were up a slope."
