Nicely renovated, friendly atmosphere without pretentiousness, with lots of amenities, sauna, swimming pool, hot bath, etc, also spacious parking space, close to town and besides they organize live concerts and social dancing on social afternoon. Cons: restaurant menu should include a chessboard plate, please! Wine is too expensive, I advise better and cheaper selection of wines and include some Bordeaux or Côtes du Rhône and also, they should have dessert wines. I paid once €30 for a bottle of wine and the waitress did not ask me to taste it first, she just placed the bottle on the table and walk away, should I bring my own cork opener next time? Lol….more table manners and courtesy concerning wine tasting serving and hospitality."

"We were staying several days at the Central Hotel on the Diamond (Central Square) in town and decided to stray from our normal Irish cuisine. We had great breakfasts at Chapman's in the hotel and decided to try their bill of fare for dinner. Upon sitting down, we were surprised to learn that they also served a Thai Fusion menu. This peaked our interest as we never expected to find Thai food in Donegal. My wife started with the Pla Koong (Tiger Prawns in a chili paste with lemongrass and cucumber. It was served with a side of tomato and spring onion salad. Arlee stated that this was very pleasing to the palate. I had the Tom Kha, a spicy coconut soup with lemongrass and Thai herbs. I took my soup with prawns; you could also get chicken. Our main dishes were very good too. My wife ordered a spicy chicken with basil. The dish contained stir-fried chicken with garlic, chili, basil and served over Basmati rice. I ordered the the sizzling noodle stir-fry with chicken sauteed in a spicy sauce with peppers and onion. Who knew that you could find good Thai cuisine in Donegal. This secret has now been unlocked."
