"We were told last year about this little restaurant behind sorianas and not eating there. we made sure that we go from januar before the big influx of tourist. the garnel dishes are delicious and the price is correct. it was mainly native. to eat when we were there, which is a good sign. I had the garnels in a guacamole sauce. it was a little spicy and hot for a gringo, but I think the kitchen will be down when they ask. I had a very good margarita. I recommend this restaurant if you are looking for something really mexican in huatulco."

"We keep on returning to Pitahaya and the dinners are consistently excellent in terms of taste, textures and presentation. The owner/chef has a way of preparing fresh local fish that enhances, rather than masks, the flavors. For those who do not like fish, there are selections of meat that carnivores tell us are great. Desserts are sinfully scrumptious. Diners have a choice of views of the pool or sitting on the terrace overlooking Huatulco. The staff are welcoming yet very professional.Friday nights are movie nights including a prefixe 3 course dinner and a film in a small screening room. Most recent films included Snowden and Scully. Reserve in advance since the seating is limited."

"The service was terrible. They placed us near the beach and said we were too far to serve. We had to go to the kitchen several times to get drinks and food. It really felt like they didn't care. I wouldn't recommend this place because of the service. Food was good, but most food on the beaches was good."

"Three times we went back to give this modern clean restaurant a chance but service is poor, with limited English. The food is not well prepared but takes thee times as long as it should and returned meals do not get the attention required to provide customer satisfaction. We know the owner from a previous location and just don't understand how they can screw things up at this facility. Sorry but pass on this place this year anyway."
