"The general consensus in our family is that this was by far the best fish chips we ever had. the tartaric acid sauce and the muddy peas tasted particularly amazing and fresh. we had the premium chind fish and child portions and enjoyed them at bayard’s cove below. I wish we had more time to make them sincere. we went around 17 o'clock when it wasn't too busy."

"We are holidaying on site at Leonards cove. I had the special fish dish of Brill, ratatouille, and potatoes which were out of this world! The dayboat fish and chips were also very good... In fact my partner said they were the best F&C's he's ever had! We're going to book again for our last night too."

"Visited this tea room on November at around Asked for teas and Belgium buns and was told to take a seat outside as they only did table service. A waitress came immediately and we again asked for teas and buns. They arrived promptly. The tea was served in a paper cup and we were given cardboard plates for the buns. The buns were OK but a little dry and with hardly any currants. They certainly weren't as nice as they looked. The tea was priced at per cup and the buns were priced at each per person x total.......... Shock/Horror the bill was actually we were charged an extra per person) as we had sat at a table! We felt totally ripped off and would most certainly have had a take away and sat in the gardens down the road had we known."

"Taking Covid seriously, with Hand sanitiser and temperature check on entry, and screens between tables. Despite these measures, the atmosphere was still very nice, and service was excellent. The food was delicious we had fish to start and steak/ duck for mains, everything was delicious and portions just right. Quite pricey but nice for a treat, and get what you pay for."

"We chose this restaurant because of the location and reviews. The location is terrific but sadly the service didn’t match. We pre-booked, it was a quiet night yet we felt like an inconvenience. The only friendly conversation was when the bill was presented. The main courses were good, the dessert was disappointing. Perhaps this was an ‘off night’ and didn’t reflect the welcome or service that is mentioned in other reviews."
