"Dropped in for a weekday dinner and was surprised that it was almost fully booked on a wet and rainy evening. Lovely spot on the water. Food is reasonably priced and there seems to be weekday meal and drink specials including happy hour drinks between 5-6pm."

"We ate dinner at the Rose, the burgers were good then I made the mistake of ordering dessert, the pistachio crepe brûlée, it was disgusting $15. It was runny, tasted of milk that had gone off, with a few bits of brûlée thrown...into a watery yellowish sludge with a few strawberries also thrown in. Disappointing so disgusting that I had the after taste in my mouth hours later."

"Kei has run this place for 27 years! It's a staple in Erko and the spread we had a demonstration of why! A mixed entree of Spring Rolls, Curry Puffs were great of course, but it was the presentation of the Fish Cakes that was surprising! Topped with peanut and garnishings, it definitely could stand on its own as a sole snack option! Mama's Chicken is a coconutty mild curry which is the safe choice, but the Spicy noodle with Chicken is where you'll find real kick! Beef Pad Thai made a guest appearance as it does in many meals and it was the Soft Shell Crab in a glazed sweet sauce that stole the show! Great personal service in the heart of Erko! BYO available - perfect!"

"Why is this place listed on Zomato as Newtown, if it is directly above the Erdskineville station? I had centralized the mixed seafood basket since lunch in hunger. My God, it comes with a portion of chips that are so massive that they alone are a meal !!! I had to set them on the side, as they were wrapped separately to the way through the calamari rings, shrimp boxes, crab claws and fish there, only no room to enjoy the fries, and I did not want to throw them out and ended them To a homeless guy sleeping at the bus stop directly outside the bookstore next to Piatsa. Great value here! Something for everyone!"

"Love the relaxed atmosphere and the informationality of this charming French neighborhood café. Came here for a friend of a friend and loved the really French Dejeuner menu. Choose between such dishes such as Salad Nicoise, Croque Monsieur or a Caramelized Drawed Confit Entenburger. Desserts like lemon cake, passion fruit Pana Cotta or Eton Mass with Boover Rosted Pecht and Rostew Malmonds are all very tempting. It's fun to shop here as well, and the supply requirement that David such as spice pastes, tapenads, jams, hoops, dressings and oils produce. I just wish I lived in Alexandria where you have a home delivery service!"

"The Swanson has a beautiful large dining room on level 1. It has very friendly staff, a great menu ( modern a la carte), and extensive wines menu. I was with a party of 10 and we all complimented the food. I had 3 courses as the food was so good. I had the cerviche swordfish, the fantastic Barramundi followed by a brulle. The Zucchini flowers, the pork and cider pie was also a feature on my table. The cowra lamb stood out. Together with good wines - what else can you wish for?"
