"What a fantastic place! Our first time here while on vacation. The food was outstanding. Although well-known for their burgers, I had the Mediterranean veggie linguine (pictured), my wife had the grilled shrimp tacos, and my sun had a cheeseburger. All the food was excellent and our server was really great and friendly. The place is small and when busy, food can take a bit, so expect that if you go when busy. But, everything is freshly prepared and well worth the wait."

"We are coming through Eureka on vacation, as I'm sure many others do, and found The Banana Hut online. We decided to go there for dinner because it was something different and had good reviews. All of the food we ordered was so delicious and the atmosphere was fun! My mom got the coconut shrimp with a green salad and pineapple gravy on her rice. My dad got the mahi mahi dish with macaroni salad and pineapple gravy on his rice. I got the Kalua Pig sliders and sweet potato fries those are some of the best sweet potato fries I've ever had!"

"Came here for some fresh seafood, and while we found it... it wasn?t well executed. My started soup had a pile of raw mushrooms in it, and my crab came with luke warm butter (it wasn?t even properly melted in the bowl when it arrived). It also had this very odd ginger sauce that just... didn?t really belong. I did ask for a warmer butter and while it did improve after it arrived, it still didn?t have any garlic. My boyfriend has the halibut and chips and his only complaint was that the potatoes weren?t cooked (hard in the middle). The fish was good though. Waitress was super friendly and attentive. Sadly though, we were told the ?daily? happy hour wasn?t available on the weekend (by the hostess), even though everyone else was offered it after the waitress arrived. . Maybe it was just an ?off day? but it wasn?t exactly what I expected for the price."

"Had dinner reservations for Saturday night (Party of 2). We arrived early and sat in the bar for a drink before we went to the dining room... Food was very good: roasted Calamari star was excellent, salad cahowder next to and then 2 Entrees, Snapper saliva, all very good.... no room for dessert (although it was offered). The stars of the show and the reason for the 5th. Stern was Daisy James in the bar and Laura (recommended by Daisy James) in the dining room. These 3 people were very entertaining and really understood Engaged Hospitality .Thank you 3 and the team in the kitchen for a pleasant culinary experience! We will be back and look forward to all of you...."

"Here's the thing, the food is amazing. For takeout im sure it's amazing. I got the beef bowl and it was absolutely amazing and I loved it. However the rest of the expirience was nothing but wretched. The service was an absolute 1 star. At first I think the waitress thought we just wanted to just sit outside and not eat for some reason. That resolved itself after a couple minutes. My entire stay lasted for 2 hours due entirely to slow service. My friend ordered the lentil burger and it was cooked to death. If it wasn't for the great taste, this would be an easy 1 star. I want to love you, Taste of Bim, but I cannot."

"Vegan friendly! I walked in and asked if they had vegan friendly options, and they walked me through modifications and what I could get. I got two bean n rice tacos w lettuce and the veggie salsa. They were good! Also the guac here is great. Love the decorations and the service was fast and friendly! Would recommend!!"
