"Not the best experience in what regards to the local cuisine, good tomato soup and the rest was just decent. Only one person serving tables, maybe that explain the unhappy face everytime somebody came in. While I was there even happened that a small group came in and left."

"There are not many options on their menu, I have chosen the cute soup and two next dishes. it was Friday night, it was pretty crowded and we waited almost 1 hour to get three nice soup. it was good, but what took so long?! also the beside dishes (roasted kartoffels and wild mushrooms) were good, especially the mushrooms, but again a lot of waiting time to get them. the carrots had a soak that I tasted a bit like meat at the end of my meal. the personal could not tell me if it was vegan or not."

"My husband and I had a fabulous lunch at Restaurante Fialho while touring the fascinating city of Évora. We arrived right when the restaurant opened at 12:30 PM, and told the server that we had a 1:30 PM tour. He recommended that we eat a light tapas lunch which could easily be done in an hour. It was a great recommendation, and we thoroughly enjoyed each dish! The dining area was intimate and filled up quickly (there were other rooms though that I'm certain must fill at dinner). When we were seated, our table already had a large plate of Iberian ham on it (as did all tables), which my husband promptly devoured (I don't eat ham). We then ordered the couvert, a lovely regional cheese and fantastic bread (ultimately ordered more bread because it was so crusty and delicious). I had a carpacio of smoked bacalhau which was wonderful, as well as a succelent octopus salad, and a fried cod fritter/dumpling, also quite good. My husband had quail eggs and sausage, and a fried meat (veal, I believe) dumpling, all of which he said were excellent. The food was all fresh and well prepared, and the service was terrific. We would love to return sometime for dinner entrées!"
