"We were taken to this restaurant by Magy our very friendly taxi lady as the restaurant we wanted to go to wasn't open till 7pm.we wanted a real Portuguese feel and this is definitely the best was to eat like the locals do. The place...resembles a cafe but don't let this put you off. The menu is tapas style as is excellent value for money. We had breads to start which were accompanied with a garlic olive oil dip which you spoon over your bread. Then we went for the chicken wings which were cooked in soya sauce and I think honey, very nice. Chicken gizzards were next which I believe are what most of the locals eat. These are in a stew like form and again very nice. Next up was the fried sardines in batter which were my least favourite but I'm not really a fish lover. Then the sliced pork came next which comes on one of the breads that you choose yourself from a very unique selection including beetroot, curry flavour and olive flavour. Can't remember the other two but we went for the curry one and it was superb with the sliced pork. Then we had a chefs burger which again tasted superb. If you like the local sparkling wine that they serve in Portugal on draght then this is the place to drink it. It was by far the best kept wine we had on the entrie holiday and was amazingly priced at €1 a glass !!!! If your not full as yet there are also some amazing home made cakes on offer which tasted amazing as well. The entire bill would you believe came to €31 and that was after 8 glasses of wine between the two of us. So if you want a REAL Portuguese experience look no further. What a gem of a find. The taxi from albufeira cost about €17 to get here so well worth a visit."
