"The staff of the restaurant are all extremely tentative, and everyone I had the pleasure of talking with speak english very well one of them probably even the best English I’ve met on this trip. Their smiles can be felt through the masks (still mandatory here a short while). I’m a guest at the hotel and arrived late without time or desire to go look through town for a place, so just went with the hotel restaurant and I’m glad I did. The food comes quick but is somehow still spot on. Flavour and texture perfect. The second night I wanted to go try something different in town but the places I passed were closed, looked uninteresting or were completely full. At the end of the night I returned to the restaurant for another meal that was spot on. Tripadvisor had the place marked as expensive, but I don’t get that. First night I had two glasses of wine, a good sized dish and a dessert and coffee. I payed a total of 28 euros I feared it was double that as I forgot to ask how much things were (only saw my main dish’s price on the menu). I’m my opinion that is not expensive it is VERY fair, actually. I cannot say how this restaurant stacks up against the competition in the city but I would be surprised if they are not in the top!"

"Three generations already from the family of the river more than 55 years in the center of ferrol as a step of the town hall. in a city over the years due to the economic crisis, the survival of this business is very significant. everything is mixed with high quality ingredients mime being the excellent final result and an insurmountable price ratio. succulent dishes of spoon : caldo gallego, callos a la gallega, fabada asturiana, sopa. delicious meats : veal milanesa, stone pavilion, roasted or peased veals, the zorza (domestic pyg wolf). some fish (small and rape) equally excellent. Intrantes to suck your fingers : homemade croquettes, chipirones, cods, clams to the sailor. little the zamburiñas in salsa and octopus, both arrive at the excelso. impossible to eat better. very generous rations and friendly treatment for you to sit at home in the dining room on the first floor (old family house) with such gallery on the Gallian street, with well-separated tables, and decorated with drop of antique furniture - a venerable standing watch presides over it and pleasant grams, photographs and paintings. Congratulations to the whole team!, with paco at the front of the boat, celia, peace and marisa in the kitchen and maria efficient and friendly waitress."
