"A nice visit on a Su day evening. There was no wait for seating and our waitress was pleasant. Not as attentive as I was trained to be. Bread wasn't delivered until meal and after we asked about it for the second time. Food was delicious. Medium well ended up being a medium rare steak. Broccoli was overcooked, and waitress walked by table with empty glass of tea and plates a few times.When handed cash for payment, it would have been nice if the waitress was a little more enthusiastic and welcomed us back. No complaints were made to staff and the conversation was pleasant. These are observations critiqued from years of experience."

"My first time to the shrimp shack. a very large menu filled with many options. the restaurant was also large. I would recommend it very much. the waitress was very good, but her shrimp shack tea shirt was very dirty and was a BIG exchange. I got the fish and chips with cole Slav and hush puppies."

"FYI we were never given a choice of food. There was no crackers or cheeses put out. We were served a small salad, a piece of bread, then we were given a preplated dinner with a couple of filet medallions, a couple pieces of fish not sure what kind, I don't eat seafood, and my girlfriend had no idea what it was there was potato's and asparagus served as sides; then finally the only choice we were given for our sunset dinner cruise was a choice of desert between some chocolate fudge, cheesecake, and key lime pie.The food tasted decent but it was not what is advertised on the menu.Nothing like being served seafood when you didn't request it, and also dislike it. If we knew about this menu change we probabily wouldn't have made a reservation, nor booked the resort we stayed at for an extra day to explore Sanibel towards the end of our vacation.The yacht captain and staff were great however"
