"Dive bars magnetize with my liver and as is always to be expected on a road trip, I will stop in and drink in the best of them. Not sure that they 'd self-identify as a dive bar , but in all my experience of drinking in charismatic, rougher-style local haunts, the Crow 's Nest deserves this honorable title. Food? They 've got it and it 's delicious. We went for the pizza after our big bear of a bartender came for our drink order and recommended it. Apparently it 's a local hit. It was definitely a hit with me and my lady. Let 's talk drinks, isn 't it what we are here for? Of course I gravitated to a local craft brewer as being in Oregon mandates that the local made beer is consumed en mass. Can 't even recall the brews I had, but they were delicious, as every one of them were, and I left with a solid buzz. Met some great warm and fuzzy locals. Oregon may be considered the people 's coast, but I consider it the people 's state. Humble and pleasant and some of the nicest you 'll ever meet, this bar served up hospitality and some great conversations with amicable and generous strangers. This place deserves a dive bar award. No joke. If the front looks a bit intimidating, just head in from the back and thank me later."

"This cute little spot has a cozy patio just out back which is great for COVID dining. The fish is fresh and the portions were generous. My husband devoured his fish chips (definitely go for the garlic fries! The crab cake starter was all crab no filler, and my wasabi fish tacos were delicious. I was going to ask for a bit more wasabi but I accidentally ate it all up before I had the chance because they were just that good. Oh, and my daughter has discovered her love for clam chowder on this trip and said this cup was the best she’s had so far. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Oregon."

"Awesome clam chowder bread bowl, the bread was so buttery and the clam chowder was light. Great fish and chips perfect breading, had the mushroom burger and it was alright wish it was more saucy! Service was good looking forward to coming back. Bathrooms in the building were clean and an old piano was outside, wish I had the confidence to play."

"The wife and I have eaten here several times over the years. A few years back he did a fun rootbeer float cocktail that I have been modyfying and serving to guests ever since. I love his mashed potatoes, reheated in a small skillet with a nice crunchy layer. Peter does fantastic duck breast, and I love the smoke flavor in his steaks. The menu is always different so each time we go it's a new experience with a chef who feels like an an old friend."
