"日曜日のランチに伺いました。 川崎駅東口から徒歩5分ほど、仲見世通り沿いにあります。 １階はテーブル席と掘りごたつ席があり、２階もあるので、席数は多いながらも、琴の音楽が流れる落ち着く雰囲気のお店。 穴子丸ごと1匹入り大えび天丼と本鮪入りすし定食の天ぷら付きを注文。 すし定食のお寿司は、しゃりは小ぶりですが、ネタは厚めで美味。玉子も甘過ぎず美味しかったです。天ぷらは、エビ･ししとう･カボチャ･ハスの4種。全体的な量としては軽めかな。 穴子丸ごと1匹入り大えび天丼は、数種類の天ぷらと共に溢れんばかりの盛り付け。好みで頂けるようにと、天つゆと甘め醤油タレの2種類が別添で付いてきました。天ぷらはサクサクで、メニュー名の通り、穴子もエビも大きくて食べ応えありました。 どちらの食事にも付いていた赤出汁のお味噌汁も、とても良いお味で美味しかったです。 着物姿の女性店員さんの接客が、感じの良い細やかな心遣いで、気分良く過ごせました。 お昼時とあって、お客さんも次々来店していましたし、宅配便も次々取りに来ていました。 ですが、残念ながら7/10で閉店してしまうようです。気になりつつも伺えないでいたので、閉店前に来られて良かったです。"

"Recently hit up Charbro in Musashi Kosugi which seems to be known for its hamburgers, but there are other things on the menu that they are building their reputation on, such as charbroiled rib-eye steak, BBQ pork back ribs (which unfortunately were sold out by the time we got there). Since it was after dinner when we met we weren’t too hungry but did want to try some of the menu. We went with Pastrami sandwiches (though, it wasn’t as pink/red as I’ve always seen them), jalapeño poppers and Buffalo wings. The pastrami sandwich was easily one of the thickest sandwiches I’ve seen in Japan, I know... not saying much, but these were properly “thick sandwiches (see photo) and we thought tasted great. The jalapeño poppers were really good and among the biggest I’ve ever seen and the Buffalo wings tasted like traditional/classic Buffalo wings but with a bit of a kick, which I thought was step above the norm flavor-wise. The restaurant serves 3 taps of beer 2 of which at the time of our visit were craft beer of Portland’s Gigantic, of which one was Glow Cloud, a New England IPA which was fantastic and Fluffy Tufts Juicy IPA, which was good but not as much as the Glow Cloud, IMHO. They serve mixed drinks as well. As for other menu items, we saw some favorites like cornbread, BLT, beer batter Fish Chips, Tuna Melt, New England Clam Chowder, Fried pickles, Black eyed Peas, Fried chicken leg, spaghetti w/meatballs, and of course an assortment of burgers. Although we didn’t try any of those, I’m hopeful that those won’t disappoint. The restaurant has a cozy bar counter on the first floor, which is where we sat and where all the food is cooked as well. There are tables upstairs as well which can probably seat a few groups. The music was primarily 70’s soul music and I really liked the feel of the place. It was a relaxed atmosphere with great food, great beer and great music. I will definitely be back. Would love to hear other people’s thoughts of this place."

"Huge drink menu with great praises. the same for eating. if the British/American farewell is what they are looking for, this is a good place to go. many international travelers speak with and a fair amount of natives. it is quite busy, but nowhere near as packed as the main place at the intersection. oh, and for those of you who cannot read Japanese, the red zider tamato juice cider. just one head up!"

"A fantastic experience for my first visit to Japan. Our hotel concierge booked the reservation in advance on our behalf, providing directions with photos as it is easy to get turned around. The courses are unique to the best available fish that day and the menu is your souvenir as photos are not allowed inside. Of the food, the different types of tuna were amazing. It almost melts in your mouth the way beef can. I've never had such beautiful tamago either. For dessert, we were given a melon and I haven't been able to stop daydreaming about it days later. All in all, very well prepared and authentic sushi. Service was accommodating for our limited Japanese."

"An excellent stop for some fast eating and cold beer. her personal speaks English and the restaurant also has an English menu. we tried all parts of the black and huh that we knew, but remained of those that we do not (like chickennecks.) the aromen make them want to lick the teller and the flat are so juicy that they still lick at the end the plate...lol overall a great experience, the personal is inviting and the eating makes them want back."
