"I am back for a second visit after a long hiatus. It is a high end Japanese restaurant. I was too stuffed to try their omakase. Food wise it is pretty good. I enjoyed the dried fugu and nasu dengaku the most. Unfortunately the service was not up to par as I would hoped. I had to prompt twice for the green tea and also for the bill."

"Very fresh moist purple carrot cake. A must try dessert here. I ordered Vongole Chorizo pasta and creme brulee. Pasta is served with lots of chorizo pieces and clams. The purple carrot cake was takeaway for afternoon tea later. They observed all dine-in SOP. Finally can dine-in after many months."

"First time trying 1919 for reunion dinner with friends. Great ambience and the service was superb. Must try their signature eggplant dish recommended by their staff who was well-versed in their menu and even the historical setting of this restaurant. We had the set banquet menu and every dish was delicious. It’s a gem to be found in the centre of KL city centre and they are halal. No doubt, will revisit in the future."
