"Joli cadre avec un joli point de vue sur la terrasse. Serveur très sympathique... non, je rigole ! À peine assis, On a failli partir sur le champ tellement il est aimable ! Il a pas choisi le bon métier ! D ailleurs, on l a vu tomber une cuillère par terre pour préparer une table... et la dite cuillère s est bien retrouvée sur la table et non pas au lave-vaisselle. On a pris la formule du jour a 19,90 euros. Très objectivement, la cuisine n est pas mauvaise mais pas spécialement bonne. J ai pas fini le rumsteck car il était de piètre qualité. Je mange tous les jours dans un restaurant avec une formule a 12,50 euros et s est bien meilleur. Notre fille étant allergique à l arachide, on a demandé au serveur si les frites étaient cuites a l huile d arachide, il ne savait pas et on a bien compris que cela le faisait c.... de se renseigner. Il a quand même eu l amabilité de nous donner une réponse. Je l en remercie ! Pour information, depuis 1 an les restaurants doivent informer règlementairement les clients de tous les allergènes présents dans leur plats."

"The setting of the restaurant facing a garden is beautiful. We had the Gourmandaise menu of 5 courses for 85 euros pp. The first two courses - a parmesan tart with tuna and aubergine and a calamari with vegetables, were good. For my main I chose the lamb which came cold and overcooked (well done) and I requested that it be re done. It was prepared again and this time the single piece of lamb had a big piece of cartilage running through it and could not be cut. By this time my Wife and Daughter had long finished their main course so I did not want to wait any longer, so I turned down the offer for the dish to be replaced with something else. My wife's main was bland and so so. The cheese selection for the cheese course was excellent and dessert was fine. When the bill came my bill was adjusted from 85 by only 10 euros for the main (unlike other restaurants there were no options marked for fewer courses) of which I did not eat a single bite. When I addressed this with the manager, he said it was the Chef's decision and not in his control. When I asked to speak to Chef the sous Chef came out. I had gone into the inner room and as I do not speak French and he did not speak English the manager translated. He stood hands in his pocket and when the first overcooked dish was brought up he just shrugged his shoulders and said it happens and with regard to the second time he said that was the cut of lamb and that's how it was. When I said that he did not seem to care whether his guests were satisfied he said something shrugged his shoulders and said 'Au revoir' and left. Even the manager and lady (assistant manager?) who heard the entire conversation were shocked and apologised for his attitude and behaviour and said that should not have happened. An absolutely terrible experience due to the unacceptable attitude of the sous Chef."

"We had lunch here twice during our recent stay in Saint Rémy de Provence the only place we ate at twice. The first time we were visiting the village of Les Baux, and wanted an alternative to the very touristy restaurants in the village. Mas d'Aigret, just...a short walk from the village entrance, was perfect. We had a fairy tale view from the terrace, and enjoyed fish and poultry with a great local wine (Ste Berthe blanc de blanc). On a rainy day, when we came back to visit the Carrières de Lumières, we ate inside, in a room partially carved out of the hillside. In both cases, my parents (in their mid 90s with hearing aids) loved the peace and quiet of this place, in contrast to some noisy bistrots we ate at on other days. Cross your fingers that the Saint Honoré (cream puff with vanilla cream and fruit) is the dessert of the day! The owner is very personable; his family runs the restaurant and the small charming hotel."

"Nous avions un excellent souvenir de l'année dernière. Y a t il eu changement de propriétaire ou de cuisinier ? Une salade gourmande avec des tapas insignifiants en tout et saveurs et bcp, bcp de salade. Il faut commander le dessert au début du repas car celui ci réclame une préparation longue ? On se moque de nous car la longue préparation se résume à une decongelation du fondant chocolat en ami t !!!! Très déçus, très cher pour ce qu'on a dans l'assiette. Leur chance : leur emplacement. Il me auront tjr du monde. Une belle arnaque a touriste !"

"A lovely restaurant in a charming setting. Our table overlooked the small pond which contained a pair of swans and several ducks. My wife and I first received two small complimentary dishes that were OK, though too precious for our tastes. We each had two courses. The octopus was wonderful, tender and perfectly cooked, though a small portion for the price, but the langoustine tartar was rather tasteless, with small evidence of langoustine. The mains of rack of lamb were substantial, cooked perfectly, and superb, though the accompany potato composition, while very tasty, was too small to support the liberal quantity of lamb. The wait service was OK, but nothing special. The sommelier made an excellent red wine suggestion a local Tibouren Cibonne that was light enough to not overwhelm the firsts, but also held up well with the lamb, and was reasonably priced. But no one showed up to pour the wine during dinner, which we don’t much care about, but expect from a restaurant with such a great reputation (and matching prices). A pleasant experience, but not meeting our expectations or the restaurant’s aspirations. The shuttle back to our hotel 2 kilometers away was greatly appreciated."
