"Big big fan of Japanese food! The only downside is that it can be a bit expensive. While it applies to most of the Japanese restaurants I know (except Tokyo Tokyo), Yamazaki is proof that Japanese cuisine can be cheap yet authentic. Yamazaki is a hole in the wall restaurant in Little Tokyo Makati. It looks like a restaurant outside, but when you step inside its doors you will be surprised that the first thing you would see is the grocery store that sells Japanese products.

What I like about the hotel is that it serves good Japanese food with huge portions but for a cheaper price. I think it has something to do with the cost of the interior (design of the whole) so it's not as expensive as the others.

I love the food and everything about it, but what I don't like is the ambience and other waitresses who are a bit "rude". All in all, everything is more than ok ????"

"A delightful find as this place is located right beside my favorite spa. I was not able to try their ramen (not a ramen fan!) But sampled their appetizer dishes.

If any tips, just buy the appetizers! :) They are reasonably priced and with awesome serving size! I bought great tasting mabo tofu for a stral at P160 -- huge, huge serving :) Bought gyoza but didnt enjoy them. Too oily and they "disintegrated" because they are over steamed.
"

"The place is good. We ordered chicken nuggets, spaghetti, french fries, and mango drink. I love the sauce of my nuggets. Though I am disappointed with their mango drink."

"The concept of Trufa Pasta Bar is ingenious - it offers creativity for brave millennials who are dizzy to try something new. It gives you an alternative to cooking your own food; You can mix and match over a hundred combinations of pastas, sauces, and add-ons.

Of those we've tried, I highly recommend trying Trufa (for La Salsa), Farfalle (for La Pasta), and Panceta and Gambas (for La Alegria) together. The taste and creaminess of the truffle sauce matched perfectly with the taste of their Spanish prawns and panceta. You'll be surprised how you finish the entire serving in just a few minutes! Other dishes I liked were the Huevos Estrellados and Las Fritas. Their Huevos Estrellados (french fries with ground beef and egg) tasted so good together. For me, the strong flavoring of the beef offset the neutral taste of the starch. The las fritas was simple but very addicting.

What I really liked about this place was that their pastas were all al dente (note: I don't speak of al dente by chance, it's al dente by profession). According to the owner, they use quality ingredients that they source directly from their own suppliers to ensure it's the freshest it can get. It gets the quality you deserve for the price you pay. There is also this summer special, Menu Del Dia - for only Php 350+ you get a salad, pasta and smoothie. On a stressful day at work, watch out for lunch.

I find the place very cozy and relaxed. The best way to enjoy the scorching hot weather in Manila is to have their pastas with their cold drinks (like El Sol and La Playa, which are both equally tasty) or to pair them with their affordable glasses of wine. The staff and the owner are very friendly and accommodating. I will definitely come back to this place when I am craving good noodles! ❤️"

"A place for all ages. If you have kids and still want something to eat for you, bring them here. They have chicken and pasta for your kids and some desserts, and you can choose from a variety of English and Indian dishes to suit your taste buds. For friends outside of office hours, meet up in the pub at the bar and grab a bottle or two before calling them for a day.

Pratha - P115 (looks like naan, but pratha is made from whole wheat flour)
one of my favorites - it's a good starter. Well you can rip part of it if

Chicken Tikka Masala - P455
The seasoning isn't too strong, but it tastes good, except for the little pieces of chicken
Steak Pie - P395
One of the tastiest dishes served with puff pastry! If it doesn't get difficult for you, dig in the chips on the side ????

Spicy Buffalo Wings - P295
spicy? yes too spicy no, not really, but the wings are so tender, best with Guinness beer!

Fish and Chips - P425
also served with pea puree! I liked the crispy and ... read more "

"They open at 11:30 am but the sign was still closed when I got there exactly at 11:30 am so I waited outside the entrance of the restaurant. I thought maybe there was an emergency so they were still closed, or maybe my watch was running too fast. Then a Japanese customer came and the staff let him in. I thought he was the owner so they let him in. 5 minutes passed and the sign still closed. So I tried and knocked on the door and asked if they are open. Then they switched the sign to open. As I walked into the restaurant I could see the staff were still cleaning and arranging some tables. I also saw 4 customers who were already seated. I honestly don't know if "certain people" should enter the restaurant first, but it looks like they do.

Getting the waitress noticed was a headache. There were 3-4 employees literally less than 6 steps away from me, but they were busy with who knows what. Fortunately, one of the kitchens is ... read more "

"I didn't really dig Korean dishes until last year when I first tried Top Dish. My officemate was raving about this authentic Korean near Burgos and I reluctantly joined him. The place wasn't fancy. It looked like a regular house with the first floor converted into a small resto. You'd be reminded of the karinderyas in Korean TV shows. But it was cozy, clean, and best of all the owner is accommodating. I especially like their Yangnyoum Chicken and Jeayuk Bogum. You can tell its authentic by how Koreans frequent this place. Will keep coming back. BTW, they're open from"

"Restaurant specializing in Japanese style eel. So far it the best eel place I've been around Makati. Quality is superb for all the food including the tofu. Its the few legit japanese place where japanese expats go to for lunch. It is pricey but understable as ingredients they use are fresh."
