"Located on a cliff overviewing the river. It used to be a Pousada or state inn and one can imagine a past elegance. The dining room has natural light and a beautiful tile (azulejo) wall made by a famous Portuguese artist. The menu has traditional dishes and regional wines. The cuisine is regular. The deserts are not extraordinary. Staff is helpful."

"Great place to enjoy typical Portuguese dishes. Cod (Bacalhau) is the star of the menu. We had four kinds of it: À Brás, a la Portuguesa, ao Forno and Zé do Pipo. The last one is my favourite and it was really good. However the one they really nailed is a la Portuguesa. We also tried some sirloin and it was really good too and well cooked. The portions are large so it's better to share (4 dishes for 6 is a good ratio). The service was really good too. Very kind and attentive. Dishes take time to cook so be ready for some wait. Price was really nice and the location very convenient. Overall, a very nice place to enjoy Portuguese food. I sincerely recommend it. We will be back!."

"The two starters of clams and fish cakes where excellent Main courses arrived before finished starters which seems a common issue chefs driving the service rather than the waiting staff which could be eleviated by a maitre'd to manage things. Main courses large but the salt cod dish and the salt cod salad both lacked seasoning. Tomatoes in salad tasteless. Waiter friendly enough."
