"Had to wait a significantly long time compared to any other restaurant, but still better than The Keg. I would recommend Jungle Jim's to most people that enjoy eating out. Jungle Jim's does allow children, so if you would prefer a more quiet place to eat, this isn't the best place to go. However The food here is still very enjoyable and the employees are very nice"

"Let's be clear, this is not good Mexican, TexMex, whatever you want to call it. But it's probably the best we got in NL which is why I eat here once or twice a year. Take out orders can be very slow. Service can be spotty however last time I was there a few nights ago it was excellent. This place is known for their Fish Tacos, they're pretty good. Everything else I've tried is fine, but nothing to write home about. Portions are generous."

"Considering what one can pay for entertainment these days, the prices for the games are very reasonable and they are well maintained. The restaurant was good for the price point but......We took the kids there and when the band started playing things were way too loud. When we got there for 6:30 reservation the place was half empty but it took 1 hour to get our food. Yes. Before one says that the band doesn't play until 8:30 it took us that long to get our meal, get it finished and pay for it. I had a burger because the patties are made in-house but the burger had two patties which were cooked way too much. They were about the size of the patties you get on the McDouble in a value meal. Fries were well seasoned and very good. I still gave it four stars because the cost of the evening was reasonable. I doubt that I will order a Burger again. The chicken burgers that passed by looked pretty good. Also, what you get for an $8 kids meal is excellent."

"Excellent meal. We had 2 young children with us, and the restaurant helped us customise a delicious pasta (that they loved so much we ordered a second plate). Mussels were outstanding! The lobster gnocchi was delicate and fresh."

"My parents are in town from the West Coast for medical appointments, they were dying for a good bowl of soup and a sandwich; so off we went to the Big R. They loved everything from the soup, right down to the cheesecake that my stepmother snagged on the way out the door. Our server was such a beautiful lady, with an amazing sense of humor and the most infectious smile. Thanks for the great grub and the stellar service!!"
