"Didn’t want to cook, so popped along to this dog friendly cafe. Lovely lunch of liver and onions and quiche and salad very good value. I’m guessing the liver was cooked to order as it took a while, but was absolutely delicious served atop a huge mound of leek and bacon mash in a rich gravy. The only gripe is the lack of vegetables would be better to halve the portion of mash and add some peas. Extremely tasty leek and ham quiche with a lovely mixed salad and coleslaw. Friendly service with a smile."

"Top quality food with amazing service, at very reasonable prices. "When they are at the place to foot are warm and we were greeted with a friendly face. the young lady showed us on our table and was very polite and efficient. my wife is picky with eating, but all the changes in the court she wanted to make were made without fuss. the tables were nice and very clean when the food arrived, it was well presented and very hot. I had lasagne and my wife had the cake. pie takes 30 minutes, but we were told when we placed our order. all our foods were very delicious and well seasoned. the waitress was very attentive and made sure we had everything we wanted. overall it was a beautiful meal. I would definitely go back. the prices are also very reasonable."

"1st visit to the swan and it won’t be our last .. my self and my husband both had pie , he had steak and mushroom whilst I opted for a litter bite meat and potatoe , our daughter had steak . All meals were...cooked perfectly the pie is amazing !! ..the desert was homemade and delicious. The service was first class , really felt welcome and like nothing was too much trouble .. and the building is wonderful . Best pub meal Iv had in many years ."

"After the end of lockdown, my wife and I finally got to celebrate this year. We have both been to the restaurant before and we both wanted to return. On arrival we were greeted and taken through to the drawing room, and had pre dinner drinks. We opted for the dinner menu and accompanying wines.On a previous visit the sommelier had gone out of his way to explain and persuade my wife to try Red Wine. Now she is a full on convert and I owe this to him.The food is classic British with a little modernity thrown in, and I like the If it's not broken why change it I'd much rather have traditional cooked well, rather than contemporary cooked badly. All the courses and accompanying wines were stunning, if I had to be really picky the sauce on the beef and fish were a little thin. The final course of apricot flavours was truly outstanding.We then had cheese,port, coffee and petit fours, and I treated myself to a old single malt.Apologies for no photos, however my wife and I don't take photos of the courses.The service was efficient and polite and all done within social distancing rules. To sum up this isn't our last visit, there will be more to come."
