"We were there on Sunday, very nicely located on the harbour promenade. I guess Drin wasn't much going on at that time. Ca 5 cakes were to choose from which all looked very good. They were also very good and the price was also good."

"General: now our third visit (juni 2012, mai 2013.) at the first time we were completely enthusiastic. with each visit our creation became more critical. our current assessment: the asteria wants to be a more elevated Mediterranean local, but can only partially redeem this claim.Asssing: very friendly, effortless, but ultimately helpless to what comes from the kitchen drinks and eat: we wanted to eat grilled from the sea. there are hardly any restaurants in oldenburg with such an offer.The wine offer on the map was north German economical: retsina and co. on demand whether there was anything better, we were offered a Greek sauvignon blanc "black sheep". he had a light pfirsich note in fragrant and taste. at least in small quantities it tastes delicious. After that we saw the price on the bill (0.2l to €5.80). that gives a bottle price of € 21,75. in the internet it is offered for about € 9.00: a price of 141 %. The claim of the local is also apparent.We had two appetizers: grilled octopus (€ 10.90) and kalamaresspieß. the octopus produced little visually, for which he tasted tenderly and a little after calf meat. we then ordered a second portion. the spit looked great visually, but smelled like fish. after tasting one round we left the court back. I was allowed to choose from. grilled bifteki appeared riskless. but far missed. they were not freshly grilled and chessed, but strangely lapped with sauce overtüncht (freshly prepared? self-made,? microshaft.?) so light and shadow, closely together. the generous ouzos are also not deceived.The ambiente: partly modern furniture (high table;) but kitschig naiv-bunte greek panoramas on the walls of the backroom cleanliness: nothing more to be challenged and photos can be found here: http://www.gastroguide.de/restaurant/215256/asteria/oldenburg/"

"Sadly not a good experience despite the good ratings here… Honestly had to wear my boyfriend‘s winter coat over my shoulders and mine on my lap because there was a draft directly down my back… maybe because of corona and the need to ventilate, but it was very uncomfortable. The food was ok… but quite clearly not freshly made, fair enough, but therefore it’s pretty expensive. I get the impression that the sauce also all comes out of the same packet… not so great sadly, maybe better in the summer…"

"We had a great meal at bei Franz. The people I was with come here every year. And they were greated as friends. The meat they serve is just awesome and for a very good price. Service was fast, correct and happy. Go for a piece of meat that is a bit bigger then you would usually eat. You will want more otherwise!!"
