"Excellent and creative twist to the usual Portuguese food. This beautiful restaurant deserves recognition! The service was personal and caring. His Knowledge of the menu and was helpful and he is clearly professional. Everything fresh and homemade. The steak was cooked perfectly and the tuna with orange sauce delicious. We didn’t try the dessert as we were too full but will do next time."

"We did a day trip to Olhao by train from Faro today and after a wander taking in the sites came across here and liked the sound of a few of the starters for a light meal. We had a large beer each and two exceptional starters and enjoyed conversing with the lovely waitress who served us. What a wonderful place. If it was easier to get to by train my dad was keen to return here for his big birthday meal and try his prawns cooked in orange and garlic again! I enjoyed the goats cheese starter. Good portions, lovely staff and reasonable prices- what more could you ask for!!"

"This is quite a popular restaurant, as was evidenced by the long line of waiting people when we arrived there. Luckily we could make a reservation for a table that would free up in half an hour. And to be sure: when we returned in half an hour a table was waiting for us. O Bote is situated on the boulevard of Olhão with lots of other restaurants. We really enjoyed sitting outside and doing some people watching. We started our meal with some goat cheese, olives and fish paste (be careful though, this small appetizer is not complementary, you'll have to pay for it). The food was simple, but very tasty. The fish was freshly caught and served with potatoes and vegetables. We finished off our meal with a spirit from the region: aguardente de medronhos. Very good! A nice evening!"
