"The first port on our recent Marella cruise , after a walk around Palamos modest seaside place , solidly Spanish feel to it lunch was taken here sitting in the sun outside. Small fried fish... a massive plate....changed eating tactic after a while , moving to filleting the fish as the bones were just too big to crunch....just watch that a bit. Paella next and it was also huge ....maybe could have done with a higher fish/shellfish content but it was nonetheless tasty and not , for example , over salty. Just managed to fit in a crema catalana which was really really good in its terracotta dish. With drinks , wine , sangria, soft drinks, water it all came to about Eur 95 for 4 which I consider was good value the Palamos prawns local speciality were poor value however but we wanted to try them verdict, don't bother . Service good including re jigging tables when our table for 2 became a table for 4. Handy for the ship, handy for the old town too."

"Comfortable and pleasant place to enjoy a paella, seafood or fish on the plate of sant pol. the service was attentive and cordial even recommended that we sit on a specific table so that we have less heat (it was time of summer) the very good dishes presented and the correct amounts. as the only point against, the quality of the paella was nothing remarkable. we expected more taking into account local gastronomia and the competition of the area"
