"I lived in Fonthill my entire life, and obviously drove passed this busy place numerous times. The family felt like pizza and wings, and lately it's so hard to find a good pizza and wings place. We decided to order take out last night. We ordered a large pizza , 20 wings and potato skins. SOO good! Let me just start by saying the BEST wings I have had in a long time! The first time EVER they were prepared EXACTLY how we asked them to. Dry, crispy, little sauce on half and Cajun season on the other half. Pizza was great too! Loves the little extra detail they do on the crust. My father loved the potato skins and they were not cheap on the portion. We would definitely order again!"

"Fenwick is a very small rural village in the heart of the Niagara Peninsula. Anyone that finds it does so because they purposefully drove there to see someone they know or it was by accident. In my case, I knew the area and was planning to drive through as I usually do - the road is a convenient shortcut between two other municipalities...if you know where this road is! My cell phone rang and I pulled up in front of the Golden Grill to take an expected call. I learned that the meeting I was going to was delayed by more than an hour so now I had time for lunch before my appointment! There are other Golden Grills in Niagara. They are all greasy spoons that should be avoided like eBola, therefore, I was quite reluctant to go in. There was no other place to eat in town and it would have meant driving out of the way and possibly being late for my appointment so I took the risk.WOW! I was wrong about first appearances! What a delightful and unexpected find!*When I say "appearances", I'm talking about the "franchise name" and my previous underwhelming experiences at others. The outside of this business is quite pleasant and fits this small village very well! The dining room seats about 90 people and is really quite nice. I was told that two sisters took the place over and renovated about two years ago. There are very new stone floors, tables, beautiful wood bar and these partners have done a great job of the decor - obviously a woman's touch :-) Don't worry, guys, it's not laden with pink and frilly lace LOLThe food was really good! The menu is well planned with lots of choices, but it's not so big that it's hard to decide! The pricing is quite reasonable.I had a daily special - egg salad sandwich and home made soup. ($5.95) WOW! Just like my mom made! Seriously! The service was EXCELLENT! I am a stickler for service because I have been in the service industry for over 30 years and have been trained professionally to always over deliver on service. This place did not disappoint! My meal was cooked and delivered quickly and the server came by a couple of times. Mind you, the place was not that busy at noon (the Monday after Christmas) so I guess I might have to lower my expectations a little after February :-)The only two things missing that would have made it better: WiFi and payment with plastic. They only accept cash! They have their own ATM if you don't mind paying the service fee. (Hint: There is a Canadian chartered bank across the street!)Overall, a great find in this small town. I now have a good reason to use this shortcut between Fonthill and Wainfleet more often!"

"We have been going to the trap for years. In our opinion, the food quality has been steadily declining. The potato skins are now just half cooked potatoes back with some cheese and bacon bits. The wings are under sauced and it’s all now overpriced. We are sad we don’t have a local wing spot. So disappointed. Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CA$90–100"
