"An atypical setting in perpignan, a friendly atmosphere, don't come if you are looking for calm.... we speak loud and we laugh very well present. .. a map with choice....and dishes from Aqui!(a little warmer.before next time..)Long hold between the entrance and the main dish surely due to a group of 39 people. "Searching through Trip Advisor for somewhere to eat in Perpignan I was attracted by the positive reviews. On entering the restaurant at a little after midday I asked the waiter why the place was empty to which he informed me that it was a place where people came to eat in the evenings. I can only assume that this was the reason that I was served dishes that had obviously been reheated. Perhaps the chef was away and the waiter was doubling up and multi-tasking as I cannot believe that the food I was served would have been given such glowing reports by other customers. After all the sunshine and the pleasant ambiance of the town cannot compensate for poor quality food served in an eerily quiet restaurant. Try it in the evening if you want Vietnamese food but don't go at lunchtime."

"This is NOT a Michelin star restaurant! Whatever people may say about the food and prices, the Galinette does not offer a service comparable to a star restaurant, it is not even close to it. I’m a foodie, visiting Michelin star and other highly rated restaurants regularly, and I was bitterly disappointed. In a Michelin star restaurant I expect extraordinary good food, prompt and attentive service, delightful surprise dishes and a nice setting. The Galinette doesn’t meet any of those expectations. The food is tasty, but not at all refined. Arranging vegetables and fruit on a plate in a beautiful way, sprinkled with fresh herbs, DOES NOT MAKE THE FOOD WORTH A MICHELIN STAR! Paying 72 euro for a menu including fish and meat, I didn’t expect to eat 80% vegetables with little distinct taste, rather many confused tastes. The bread we were served first was definitely from the day before, hard as brick. No oil, butter or other starters were offered. Any local brassiere would at least have offered fresh olives or chips! Instead of the goat cheese that was on the menu, we got a roquefort that was so strong that my eyes watered. I guess they were out of the goat cheese… When it comes to service, it just gets worse. We waited at least 10 minutes for any service to arrive. There were only two waiters for the whole restaurant, serving around 35 guests. One of the them was doubling as a sommelier. He attended our table three times during the whole sitting. We were left sitting several times without any drinks or bread on our table. we ended up with drinking two glasses of wine during the whole evening, with one additional glass for dessert. No one ever asked us if everything was to our liking. We got away with a bill of just over 100 euro per person, which was far too much for the experience we’ve had. This being the only Michelin star restaurant in the area, I must say my trust in the Guide has been seriously diminished. SHAME!"

"This restaurants speciality is fish. However, some meat dishes on the menue. The Passerelle is favourably located by the river Tet, very close to the Castillet and the old part of the city. A lovely couple, husband and wife, operate the restaurant. The man, the...chef, in the kitchen, wife in the dining and bar area. The dishes are lovely presented, like pieces of fine art. The tastes are matching the looks. The tastes give credit to the ingredients. La Passerelle is deservedly recommended by the Michelin guide for as it was for The menue is based on freshly caught fish and fresh ingredients. The menue is also based on seasonel availability and changes times a year. The wine list is extensive. It highlites very good local vineries. Food and wine prices are not cheap, but you will be served quality food and wine from knowledgeable and atmosphere creating staff in lovely premises. Cheaper menues and special menues for children are available. Several tables have views of the river. Some parts of the interior is made from teak and resemble old boat design. Indulge yourself."
