"For our Summer stay at Sproat Lake, we decided to re visit and have dinner since our last year's so so experience. Everything looks and feel the same. Friendly service as usual with some changes to the menu. We decided on 3 appetizers of Crispy Calamari, Fish Tacos and Mussels. Except for the Crispy Calamari which was very chewy, the other dishes were good. The Spicy Caesars with a slice of Bacon was Canada special for the day and was a nice change. I was told a new Chef is now in the Kitchen. Overall a better experience this time."

"The food exceeded all expectations. We had Moussaka and grilled lamb. Even the Greek Salad was exceptional - and how many of those have we had? We would not hesitate to make a special trip to Port Alberni just to have dinner at Orestes! The service was also very good and the atmosphere leant itself to dressing up while not making you feel guilty walking in wearing shorts.Looking forward to our next visit."

"This place is top notch! Two visits and the second time is even better than the first. The sushi rice is cooked to perfection. The price to fish ratio is unbelievable. I have tried all the sushi places in Parksville and can honestly say that I would drive to Port just for the food here in a heart beat. Too bad I live in Edmonton. I will miss this place for sure, the food and the people!"

"Five of us went for dinner, four of us ordered fish and chips, to tell you the truth I was not impressed. The fish coating was dark and I think the oil needed changing because it should have been golden not brown, One person ordered the steak dinner and she said it was very good. I had heard good and bad about the clam bucket. I live here in beautiful Port Alberni and am working through the different places to eat in town. We sat outside on the patio and it is a very nice place to sit and enjoy your meal. Will give the Clam Bucket one more chance to see if the fish batter is different."

"A very cool spot for dinner. We had the veggie burger, hummus and shrimp wrap and all of it was delicious. Loved the laid back atmosphere as well as the views. Plus the waitresses here are some of the friendliest we have encountered on this...trip."

"This place was awesome! Friendly, fast service. Food was great! We had fish and chips. The fish batter was so crispy, fries were like home fries. They gave us a lot of food! If ever in the area, try them out! I’d love to come back!"
