"Here is the deal: if they are not hungry, thirsty or are not interested in a great prospect of the sea, then they do not go here. also, be warned, some proportions could be more than they could eat (although if they try, they will enjoy it!) the great beer selection could bring them to drink. no grim, rude or indifferent staff here. only a friendly owner who takes care of his mozens. "Stopped here on a wet (North shore day for afternoon drinks in the bar area. Warm welcome from the host/waiter and excellent tea. The cake made by the family was superb."

"It was close to where we were staying and it was raining. The family that runs it are very friendly and welcoming. We asked if we could have fish and they said whilst it was not on that day's menu they had some for the family and would happily cook us that. It was delicious and much appreciated. Dinner for 2 with drinks only 20 euro."

"Really delicious, authentic barbecue. The mixed grill was plentiful for 2, we took some away. Lovely to watch the meat being grilled from the table. Lots of locals dining which is always a good sign. It was all so good we came back twice! Marco was particularly great and made us laugh with his humour, a credit to the restaurant. Will come back next time we're in Madeira!"
