"We stopped by as soon as the restaurant opened and were glad we did, because it filled very rapidly. Some of the waiters had good English so it was easy to get help. We chose from the options board and the waiter suggested a white wine that turned out to be excellent. I have found that the house wines in Italy are really good and they even let you taste before pouring, something that I have never experienced in England. We tried the Sea Urchin (because we had to! . I’m not sure I would select it as a dish again but this was not because is was poorly cooked, rather that I’d never tried it before and it didn’t suit my palate. It was beautifully presented and the service was first class. Dolce were Mousse, both of which were truly excellent. The restaurant is obviously extremely popular with the locals as it was very busy by the time we left."

"First of all, what an amazing place cute tables and chairs outside in a cobbled historical street. So for the venue and setting. Secondly, the food was outstanding, the freshly made pasta with innovative flavours and dishes. A true example of Scicle! Traditional...with a modern twist. Having a choice of meat, fish and vegetarian was great for our four tastes. Now for the service excellent our lovely waitress was fluent in English so that helped us out a lot as our Italian is les than useless. Her knowledge of each dish was fabulous. "We had the most amazing culinary experience in il consiglio di sicilia. from the moment we arrived, until the end we were welcomed. eating was simply exalted, the kitchen staff is very talented and they can feel the passion they convey in their art. the exquisite eating was accompanied by a beautiful environment. the owners have created the perfect place to din by mixing a romantic and relaxed place to eat. do not hesitate to pay a visit if they wish a special experience. we can't wait to return. grazie mille!"
