"Recently I went on a school trip with the children at our school. We went in the morning and the children 10 14 years old spent a morning learning how to fish. At first, children were shown the different types of trout and fish in the area. Then they were shown the basic skills and then all supplied with fishing rods. Buckles and bats. The restaurant is a characteristic wooden structure with plenty of space for sitting, overlooking the small lake. It is only past the beaten track in Alt Ossiach by the far end of the lake, towards Feldkirchen. It is quiet and surrounded by forests and hills. Around this lake is a walk and various places to sit with deck chairs and wooden benches where you can sit and fish your own dinner. Most children knew very little about the fishing and the owners' patients, know-how and knowledge encouraged them. All the children could catch a good trout. Fishing and delivery of rods is free, but you have to pay for the fish you catch when you take it away or eat it there in one of the traditional recipes. The place has a varied menu also for those who do not eat fish or are vegetarian. Each dish includes potatoes and salad the price varies between 10 15 euros for a good meal. The lake is supplied with fresh water from a stream, so the quality of the water and the fish is the best it could be. The Trout Station is popular with Bikern, guest on the local campsite and locals. Whether you want to try fishing or not, it is worth visiting people of all ages."

"This is your typical Austrian place with the staff all dressed in traditional attire and classical country interiors. Near to the seaside sorrounded by greenery, it can be only recommended. The dishes are local and nothing too fancy, but you'll be definitively satisfied. I was...very tired on that day, so perhaps could not experience at fullest, but my rating is definitively positive."

"Prezzo elevato. Porzioni piccole e mal presentate. Servizio scarso (hanno portato anche zuppa con sottopiatto sporco e senza cucchiaio). I primi sono arrivati intanto che stavamo mangiando l'insalata. Per ultimo pagamento solo cash....niente carta credito e niente bancomat. Pazzesco per un ristorante. Unica nota positiva cameriera italiana gentile e cortese."
