"We had reserved 6 o'clock. at the arrival they could not find our reservation, but found us a table group of 8 to go to our table, one of our group fell on a step that was not identified. there was little light. the step should be highlighted...with reflective adhesive tape. when the server was told about the step, she ignored our suggestions. all 8 of us ordered the fish and chips. the fish was dry and the chips were very dark and oily. the beer was cold and good. service very slow. duke and devine are on our groups x liste."

"The service was excellent and the food was great. my wife had pasta with fungal and tomato jams and duck jam. I had braided bark in a cream sauce and both dishes were excellent."

"I just love this restaurant and want to keep coming back. The food is delicious and the décor is lovely. The price is terrific on a Wednesday night (three courses for $20 including tea or coffee and it's bring your own wine). We were 4 and three of us had the salad and the turbot which came with a honey sauce and a beautiful array of veggies. One had the pasta which he said was lovely. The desserts were a choice of cheesecake or tiramisu. Melt in your mouth good - both of them. A really great place for dinner."

"After ten hours of driving through a winter storm, we were looking for a good meal in a location convenient to Hwy 40 west of Montréal. Following a brief Internet search, we got off the highway at westbound exit 35 and after having difficulty finding the original pick, we spotted Restaurant Gaj and decided to go there instead. It turned out to have been an excellent choice. I agree with the many other reviewers who have mentioned the quality and great value of this restaurant's offerings. I would give it a 4.4. (Note that this restaurant is in Vaudreuil-Dorion, not in Québec City.)"
