"Lovely evening enjoyed by our group of 20 something people including a young lady from macaw. staff very friendly . hats off to the chef who handled cooking all the meals on his own owing to being short handed. his assistant was very good too and the meals arrived looking yummy. would certainly go again next time im in whakatane."

"Mohn’s caffe should be my favourite place to go in town, I have always felt the last time welcome in which I have been using amazing coffee and a beauitful bnoffe pie (banana,caramel and coffee yum! I have to admit, there can be a small wait, but it is worth it! there are large indoor outdoor stream with lovely backround music and I can not wait to go to my next cuppa. Top brands"

"I was not sure what I would find eating when I went to whakatane to work, but hoped that a Thai place could feed a vegan. that could. the staff was incredibly helpful and checked everything. almost any option on the menu could be made vegan and they were in order to also take the fish sauce. I've never had so much tofu in my evening meal, so they were very generous with him what I liked. good eating and excellent staff means that I will be back next time in whakatane."

"A seperate vegetarian section of the menu makes it super easy to order. most dishes however contain ghee so that they ask for free milk to make this vegan. the personal is super courtesy and happy to help. they could try to warn them that it will taste worse when made milk free, but the dishes I tried were delicious. I had the chana masala and the palak aloo. They are also able to make the naan or roti vegan. excellent service and eating. large vegetarian option for whakatane. would like to dinate again and recommend others."
