"We were looking for a place for early dinner before a recent show at the Prudential Center. We had a short walk from the train and a little farther walk back to the Center. When we arrived, we were the only patrons. Soon after the place started to fill and was quite the place to be. The staff was attentive and friendly, the food fresh and tasty. We even enjoyed the music and hope to return"

"Best place to get Puerto Rican food. The alcupurias were amazing, they were crispy and soft. The shrimp Mofongo didn't disappoint. I do not need to go all the way to Washington Heights I can just go here instead. The pernil was a little bit dry but it was good. I wish they gave us some sauces but other then that id come back again."

"The first time we went with eight people on a Friday night and it wasn't so busy. The food was very good and they gave us a big table back. Nobody rushed to go. We stayed about three hours a little hard to find, not in the main part of Newark, but the food and service were both good."

"What a truly hidden gem. My friend brought me here after inspecting a property there he just purchased. I was somewhat Skeptical about the place because of the area and location but after my first serving of soup arrived it changed my mind quickly. These folks take great pride in their food, presentation and cleanliness. I'm from Philly and I'd definitely make the road trip back for another meal. It's surprising how big this place is and has off street parking."

"First time there on a date. Parking is free around corner in a secure garage/lot huge convenience in this area. Easy safe walk to restaurant. Politest staff, beautiful and huge inside. Giant imported wine list and other drinks, tasty. Food however…was the best I have had in a while. Shared the NZ clams broth was A . We normally avoid bread. This time had to order extra just for the broth. Main dishes were amazing as well: grilled whole sea bass for me, salmon with scallops for wife… we were both in awe at the perfection. Finger licking, old world, rich yet simple, not overly elaborate or experimental food. We love seafood. We decided that this specific cuisine, if this is what it tastes like, tops the list of any other. Which neither expected. My tastebuds are still daydreaming about it. Must return asap."

"The pepper steak did not look like the picture. The dish was lacking peppers, so the meal did not match the name but the dish was rather tasty. I ordered a small chicken noodle soup and I did not like it at all. It tasted like something that was just thrown together just to make a profit. The stewed chicken was good . It just needed some olives, bell peppers and potatoes and it would have been the perfect dish. The chicken empanadas was good. I just want to say that consumers are willing to support businesses but businesses have to be willing to keep us coming back to support those businesses. Cook with love and you will have consumers making your business successful. Im sorry that I have to give you a 3 star. It would have been more. My above reasons is why it is a 3 star."
