"Everything about this restaurant reminded me of home, Malaysia ! The portions were huge and all the dishes were amazing. We ordered the satay, Malaysian curry, sambal belacan water spinach, laksa, hot and sour soup, and roti canai. The satay is extremely well seasoned, had a great crunch yet very tender on the inside. Honestly, one of the best satay I’ve had in a very very long time! If you appreciate FLAVOUR, you’ll love this restaurant :"

"I met a friend and my wife at this restaurant for dinner.The location at Docklands is quite near where I work.The place only had a few tables occupied as compared to lunch time when it is extremely busy and difficult to get a table.For entrée my friend had the prawn crackers with satay sauce as he was not so hungry. The Prawn Crackers serving size was quite large but the size of satay sauce offered was quite small in comparison. As a result we asked for another bowl of satay sauce and I thought it was penny pinching to charge $1 extra. I've been to many restaurants where there is no extra charge for extra sauce, gravy etc.Service by the Thai girls was poor as the extra fresh chili I ordered never arrived and there was a mix up in drinks ordered. The girls English skills seemed to be somewhat lacking.For mains I had the Khao Soi Soup which was ok but quite frankly wasn’t one of the best I've ever had. I had some amazing Khao Soi in Chiang Mai.My wife had the Crispy Pork Belly with rice which she enjoyed.Overall I think a three star rating is fair."

"Maxi is exactly what is needed! A small charming spot that specializes in doing one thing very well. It?s important to preserve and support HK and Cantonese culture. A world without HK/Cantonese food will be sad. The wontons are shrimp and pork . Maxi doesnot skimp on the shrimp at all! Most places skimp because shrimp is more costly. Some of the best wontons I ever had. Pro moveis to add a little vinegar and chilli sauce to the wontons. The broth is perfect and I confirmed with Maxi she does take thetime to use shrimp peels to bring out that seafood/umami flavor. No shortcuts here. I am pretty familiar with the Chinese foodscenes in SF and San Gabriel Valley (LA). Maxi?s is the best I ever had. The one contender would be the now gone Noodle Boy inRosemead (SGV). This is one of my favorite places. Very homey and very Hong Kong."

"This was the best Chinese take-out we've had in decades! This place has absolutely ruined us for Chinese food in our home state. Be careful what you order because the servings are pretty big. We ordered what we'd consider to be a regular meal but had a lot of leftovers. The food was piping hot and delivered in what felt like 10 maybe 15 minutes at most. There's no way we're going back to key west and not eating here again.."
