"I've been here a couple times and it has been going downhill. Today I had the eggs Florentine and it was cold and sloppy. my tea was cold and so was my bacon. I'm upset because the very first time was the only best time. minutes after eating I saw a roach crawling on my table!!! My stomach is in pain and having to use the restroom. I don't understand why but I won't be returning. also the gentleman was being very rude to the young lady. very weird!"

"Today was my first time here and I really was impressed, our server was very friendly. The food was great, I always order my eggs over medium and they were cooked to perfection, biscuits and gravy were delicious and this is the only place that makes my kind of French toast. The toast was more savory than sweet and I loved it, bacon was nice and crispy. Overall great experience would definitely go back."

"What started as a curious craving one day for enchiladas, became years of frequent visits and calls to try their quesadillas, tuna wraps, their salads and fruit smoothies and juices, the crispy chicken wraps, the chicken fajita plate, the blueberry muffins, the tiramisu, their mojitos and a variety of other culinary delights. For a long time Fordham Rd didn't have a place where you can order a salad or just healthy options with robust flavor. Everything was burgers and fried chicken. Granted, there have been some Latin restaurants in this area as well, but Family's Cafe is that small whole in the wall that surprises you with a variety of great food and courteous service. It truly is a place to take your family for a good meal. Although, Family's Cafe is currently going through that awkward growing phase as they're trying to expand with a pizzeria and their website needs to update, my family and I keep coming back and are glad to know it survived the Covid-19 lockdown of 2020 and even added outdoor dining in 2021. We're curious to see how their pizza will be."

"Went to this cafe for lunch. It was my first time here. The cafe is cozy and they have seating arrangements outside of the cafe as well. I had never tasted falafel, so I ordered falafel plate. My husband ordered vegetarian delight pita. Both the dishes are good for vegetarians. The food was good and service was friendly."

"So me and my boyfriend didn't realize that they were only open on weekends when we pulled in on a Tuesday Mid-morning, but the waitress was outside doing some work on the restaurant and welcomed us inside for a meal WITHOUT hesitation. The atmosphere is relaxing and we learned most of it is homemade by one of the staff members. She (the waitress) and her husband were beyond hospitable and we really enjoyed the kindness and attentiveness that we were given. The food from Andrea was fantastic and we ate every bite! At the end of our meal the Chambers didn't even rush us out because they were closed, but instead continued to talk to us, refresh our coffees and exchange stories for a little bit. The couple even offered us to-go coffee for our long haul back to New Jersey. Thank you to The Chambers for such a welcoming experience(sorry if I spelled it wrong). Only thing I would suggest is to change the hours on the website for tourists like us who rely on google to find places to eat"
