"It was my 80th Birthday and this was a perfect way to celebrate. I started with a delicious martini. I really enjoyed our Lunch/Tea. The sandwiches and sweets showed a high level of imagination. Even the location of our table for two was nice overlooking the Elgin/Rideau square. Our server, Nicole, put herself out to make our visit enjoyable. We would definitely go back enjoy another delicious lunch with tea."

"Service was excellent and enjoyed the variety of beers....ordered 3 appetizers...the flat bread was excellent...the chicken and duck wings were very tasty, but very disappointed with the amount we got...like 7 or 8 wings for nearly $20.....probably won't be back cause found it too expensive fir the amount of food we got...Shareable wings were really good, but only enuff for one person...but our evening was enjoyable..thx"

"We were married here on August 5 and had the most amazing day! Cynthia the senior event coordinator thinks of every detail to make sure you have the most incredible experience! The staff are amazing as well. Although there were 5 weddings the same weekend we were married we felt like we were the only ones and when the Courtyard team had to deal with an unexpected delay as a guest of our wedding you wouldn't have known anything went out of order. The food is incredible and all of our guests had nothing but good things to say. It is a beautiful venue with an amazing history. We had our first date here and look forward to many magic moments here."

"This was the second time I've visited Waverly East, and again it was noisy with loud music. We went on a Saturday night during the hockey play-offs so that contributed to the noise level. Food again was so-so. There isn't a lot to choose from on the menu, especially if you are a "meat and potatoes" person. I ordered the beet salad for starters and it was very good; there was a nice dressing on the greens and a nice amount of sliced beets with pecans, raisins and goat cheese. It was a meal in itself. For my main meal I ordered fettuccine with shrimp; paid $6 for the shrimp and they only gave 3, which was a bit chintzy. The fettuccine had a lot of filler in it - baby tomatoes, broccoli bits and kale - weird. Soup of the day was mushroom soup and it passed the taste test. Hubby had trout and found it unremarkable."
