"In Split 3 days ate here every night! Definitely in the top 2 places I tried when in Croatia! Wouldn't have thought of a sandwich place! intending to try other places, but this place was so good, incredibly affordable, and service beside no one that I always come!! At the time of the visit, Sept 2018, I have 2 glasses of wine and a very large, amazing tasting sandwich for approx. 50Kn. Local family business, with wine on tap (absolutely decent! if you may not feel 100% for them but honestly try something! The food is delicious!!! You could be tempted by 'Daddy cool' over the street, but try it first! When I left, they even had a bowl of grapes and figs from their family garden that could be eaten (free while the sandwich was freshly prepared for you! Finally, I can't say enough about the service! A really nice experience! Thank you."

"My wife and I have been in Split for 10 days, we have ate at several “highly rated” restaurants, which turned out to be average at best. Tonight, we hit the jackpot, we decided to try Bakra, everything was absolutely delicious!!! I had the Ribeye steak and the Cheesecake, my wife had the Chicago steak and chocolate cake. Both were amazing, I haven’t had a steak that juicy and flavorful in years, and the cheesecake…Wow! Bravo to the cooks!!! The atmosphere is terrific, cozy and inviting, our waiter “Tonci” made us feel like family, very friendly and attentive. Well worth your time and money, don’t look any further, eat here! Thank you Bakra and Tonci for a lovely evening!"
