"We dined at L'Interprete tonight. There were a few bumps for example, online it said 6:00pm opening, then on their site it said 6:30pm but we got there for 6pm and were told to come back at 7. We are staying close by so...it was just a few minute walk, but that was kind of odd. The food itself was excellent and reasonably priced. My hangar steak was inexpensive and delicious (and extremely tender, which isn't usually the case for hangar steak), 21 Euros with the menu tonight for the steak, fries and a fantastic dessert. We ordered wine at a reasonable price as well. The service was fast but not particularly friendly. Our server was pretty abrupt and didn't ask how our meal was, etc. We also had one menu that should have been 24 Euros for starter, main and dessert but she priced it as starter and main and then added the dessert separately for 2 Euros more total. Our total bill was very well priced, but I didn't really understand how she missed it as a 3 course menu and priced it higher. We will be back, we are in Serris usually a couple of times per year (this time for 2 1/2 weeks) and we have passed by the restaurant so often, never thinking about stopping until I was looking up a good restaurant to dine at. I don't hesitate to recommend L'Interprete, but I did feel like I'd made a mistake when we had issues with the opening time and then had an awkward start with the server. The food is so good though, I wish we'd visited earlier. For food, this was my favorite meal of our trip. For service, it was much lower way below Walt's at Disneyland, which usually has excellent service. Obviously I'm conflicted but we would even go back this trip if we find ourselves looking for a meal before we head back to Florida."
