"We had driven past this restaurant for years, and finally got around to visiting. It looks very welcoming from the outside. Inside is homely, historic and comfortable. The host is very friendly and helpful. Prices are reasonable. Those are the good things. In our opinion the food was mediocre at best. There was an item on our plates which was almost impossible to identify, possibly instant mash? It had the consistency of wallpaper paste but without the flavour! None of the desserts were warm, all delivered within seconds of ordering, so not too much actual cooking happening. Despite the welcome and atmosphere, we will probably not return."
