"Found this thanks to Tripadvisor, otherwise would probably have walked past this unassuming looking restaurant. Going in was well worth it, as the 4 course chef's menu was simply superb and I'd rate it as one of the best meals I've ever eaten. Accompanied by...en excellent, good value Pomerol, the foie gras, scallop steak courses were delicious. The chef came out of the kitchen to check with all the customers, which I see as a good sign. Highly recommend seeking this out if you are in the are."

"First time to Chambery. Walking the back streets and stumbled upon Le Kartel. Great wine, fantastic foie gras, relaxing music, friendly and helpful staff. Not to be missed when visiting Chambery. Highly recommended"

"We shared a Foie Gras Maison to start with, it was good but tasted not as it normally does. My wife had a local fish with White wine sauce and she liked it. I had beef Tenderloin perfectly cooked and tasted very good. A 1/2 bottle of French Red was also shared. 1 lit of San Pellegrino to our meal. Price came to 113 Euro.The staff spoke Little English which was a problem to understand the Daily specials."

"Ça fait quelques années que je fréquente ce bar, j'y ai toujours passé de bonnes soirées. Sauf que depuis quelques mois, l'ambiance change, le service est de moins en moins bon, l'accueil plus aussi chaleureux...Commençons par la musique, déjà bien trop forte, et dans un style "latino", il me semble qu'il y a déjà ce genre de bar pas très loin... On nous pose une tablette tactile en guise de carte des vins! Il n'y a déjà pas assez d'écrans dans nos vies?! Plus de conseils sur les différents vins, de contact humain...Et pour finir, des verres de vin très peu remplis, a 8euros le verre, c'est vraiment de l'abus...Bref, une page se tourne, le Wine not c'est fini pour moi."
