"Had dinner at Allium pre-COVID, and I dined there again tonight. Everything was still excellent. I ordered their beef cheeks with portobello mushroom and foie gras, followed by a mamey panna cotta as dessert. Beef cheeks dish was not too heavy. Just the right quantity. Service was friendly as usual. I'll return for sure."

"My wife is French Canadian, so we went here as part of a birthday weekend in first, why I say it is overpriced: the decor and atmosphere are definitiw not eat fine, but the prices are; they had a disappointing wine selection (white);...and eating was good, but not excellent. at the same weekend we went to the Japanese restaurant suehiro and had an enormous experience in every sight – and the bill was less! last year in chez chou chou my wife had encrusted the rack of lamb with panko. I tried a bit of her and was so impressed that this was the main reason why we had returned this time. I wanted this court bad! unfortunately this article was no longer in the menu. that was a great disappointment. I had the wobbly soup, and, while it was very good, it was a little oversaled. the duck leg was very good, and I repeat it. my wife had beef bourguignon and was disappointed. for postres had my wife creme brulée, but found that while it had a perfectly blurred caramel chest, it was not fully boiled underneath. I had the profiteroles and was very disappointed. instead of puffy puff bakery, they were hard and chewing."

"Para comenzar debo mencionar que la cocina española es de las favoritas y bien conocida en Guadalajara, gracias a varios establecimientos que ha habido desde hace ya muchos años, de muy buena calidad. El dueño y chef de Ventresca es originario de Santander y sabe de lo que se habla al escoger el ramo de mariscos. Fuimos tres parejas y desde la ubicación nos gustó, en pleno corazón de la colonia Providencia; el lugar es amplio, de triple altura, lo cual ayuda para que el ambiente sea bien ventilado y fresco, aun en un mediodía de este mes de abril. El menú es amplio y ofrece varios platos emblemáticos como diversos arroces, Robalo a la sal o al estilo de Orio (entre otros), y una buena variedad de pintxos. La cava almacena, a excelente temperatura, unas 300 botellas de vino blanco, tinto, rosado y espumoso, principalmente provenientes de Baja California y España, a buenos precios; escogí el Origen 43 de Ensenada, joven, aromático y de rico sabor, a $430 la botella. Pedimos Ceviche de robalo, Txipirones rellenos, Pulpo a las brasas, Arroz caldudo, Arroz negro y la Pesca del día, que resultó ser robalo; Todo, realmente delicioso y en raciones entre razonable y abundante. El servicio es atento y oportuno; es notable que saben describir cada plato cuando se los pides. Todos quedamos contentos, satisfechos y poco gastados ($3,100 más propina); seguramente volveremos."
