"We went there because the comments were pretty good. It was a big disappointment. friendly staff, rather friendly setting, but kitchen to review completely. exorbitant prices worthy of the Baulian coast, for a truly mediocre quality. 13€ for 2 small tips of low-quality foie gras (booth and past taste), accompanied by only 3 slices of grilled bread, and a past balsamic cream...13€ for a sandy net, accompanied by vulgaries cabbage flowers, broccoli and potatoes steamed insipid, unseasoned, we will eat the same to see better at home. The presentation is also really to be seen. As for the refined cheese plate at 5€, pass your way if you don't just want to eat 3 small tips. Don't expect an exceptional board. We were disappointed, with an addition for the really salted shot, amounting to €100 for 3 people. much too expensive for the proposed quality."

"Having tried several times to eat in this restaurant and never finding them open, we finally made it on the last night of our stay in the village. We were not disappointed. Greeted personally by the chef as we entered, we were led to the...dining room at the rear, with a view over the River Loire towards the Abbaye de St Maure, which was just wonderful. The furnishings were elegant, the table linen damask, (no paper tablecloths and having to keep your cutlery for the second course here). As one of us was driving a short way, we decided to order a half-bottle of wine, but there were no more, so we were offered a whole bottle with the offer of taking the bottle home. The starter arrived, and when we had finished it, the chef popped in just to make sure it was to our liking. The main course was wonderful, as was my dessert. My husband chose to have cheese, and his only negative comment for the whole meal was that the cheese was still cold, not having been left out to gain room temperature as it should have done, hence the 'very good ' and not 'excellent ' rating. Again, as we left, the chef came and spoke to us and we offered to write this review. We will return to this restaurant if we are in the region, of we possibly can."

"Don't expect perfection - service was slow, mistakes were made, people who arrived after us got served before us. That said, it was a very enjoyable meal. The location is unpretentious but pleasant, with outdoor seating available, on concrete or on the grass, and away from the river meaning not full of bugs. There's a good variety of menu choices, from the menu du jour, menu de semaine and an a la carte menu. A fair bit of stuff on the a la carte wasn't available (e.g. two out of four starters), but there was still plenty of choice, along with a separate pizza menu. That said, what was available was well-cooked and delicious. I had a great plate of lamb genevois with homemade pasta which we ordered seconds of (and which they did not charge us for). My wife had a salade confit de canard with duck foie gras which was better than I would expect for the price. Our 8 year old son had an excellently pizza. Puddings were also excellent (a good creme bruleeBeer brewed next door is available on tap as an alternative to wine goes with the nice down-to-earth atmosphere. No trouble getting served after 9pm on a Sunday evening."
