"Great place with fantastic eating and service! we kept a late lunch after visiting the moody gardens and were blown away from the service and eating. the personal was very happy to check the ingredients for food sensitivity, and made some great recommendations. the smoked truthahnsalat cannot be oversold, it was amazing. the sandwiches, drilling and frozen drinks were all great. everyone had a great meal and we would recommend this place to our friends definitiw."

"Stayed in the island 4 days… hands down the best food! My son had the Philly Cheesesteak, I had the fried seafood platter… the salad, baked potato fried catfish were spagnanomous! My husband had the Chris’ special… Our waitress “puddin tang” was the best!"

"I took my wife here to treat her before a high dinner for the Memorial Day Weekend. We were least disappointed. The location is very nice, lots of parking in front with a great view of the docks, water and yachts on the back. We had no reservation, but still Qmwere sitting outside in the cool breeze very fast and with a very friendly and attentive waiter. The menu is pricy, but you get what you pay. The crab cake was devine and full of taste, and the house salad was an amazingly fresh start at meal as well. The ribeye steak come with grilled garlic and the aromas could no longer be savory and juicy. We also had the Stroganoff that was a bit salted, but we still liked it. The entire location is beautiful and feels like magic when you are there when the sun goes down. We will be definately back, and with a reservation next time to guarantee a seat in the interior to take more of the facility. Great work and highly recommended!!"

"Don't make reservations, get dressed up and go here expecting a special experience. You very likely will be seated in the bar area, as we were. You can eat at the bar with no reservations, as we have many times, but this time we wanted a special night out and made reservations, thinking we could sit in the dining area. We asked to be seated in the dining area, but were refused. Unfortunately we experienced people fall down in the bar, be loud, sports games on TV and hotel guests with toddlers watching cartoons on devices with no regards to other patrons. We were very disappointed. The $300 food just didn't taste as good in that atmosphere. The Ahi Tuna was 2 uncut blobs with white vein strings in it. I had only a butter knife, so that was a waste. I can say, the service was impeccable, however, that didn't make up for ambiance. If we wanted to sit in a loud bar we could have gone literally anywhere on the island."

"My boyfriend and I live on the Strand and wanted to try a new place off the beaten path. What a pleasant surprise when we walked into the Pressbox! We were immediately welcomed by the owner who chatted with us while we decided on what to order. Our food was perfectly priced and absolutely delicious. My boyfriend ordered a burger without a buttered bun due to his lactose allergy. They were very thorough on making sure that the food was safe and edible for him. We will definitely go back time and time again for the wonderful hospitality and quaint atmosphere."

"Cozy bar with great food. Good amount of TVs a few were out of sync with each other which was kind of confusing and the TV over the bar had a pretty bad viewing angle. Bartender was very nice and attentive."

"Juicy, meaty, fall off the bone slap yo momma bbq! HUGE portions and I mean HUGE! Flavor is so good! Caught my cousin trying her first bite of rib and her and her husbands face says it all. The bbq sauce is perfect tang and peppery. Get there early because they sell out FASSST! I got the 3 meat plate, ribs, brisket and pulled pork! YUMMO! But like literally y'all the ribs are fall off the bone good! The brisket could be cut with a spoon, with the fat perfectly marbled in with the meat. Delicious!"
