"Ordered catering service and was charged over €75 for an overcrowded serving dish with 32 edible (but average) pieces. The pieces had fallen and got mixed up (a mix of Lachs, roast beef, procuito, and pickles with different sauces) the dish was a mess. For this price, I would expect they put more love into their catering.......especially with SUCH a high profit margin. I would NOT recommend this establishment."

"Our excursion to the Hercules Monument! I already know him about pictures, the strict Lord. Unfortunately we had to find out on arrival at Wilhelmshöhe: The Lord and the Undercarriage have come and restored in the years. Scaffolds and tarpaulins cover the base and part of the water games. Too bad, but it must be. A beautiful walk in the spring sun through the castle park, great views of the castle... and, what do you think?? HUNGER arrives later at 12 noon! At the last moment we discovered a sign, so there is something to bite in the castle. Usually we avoid these tourist places, but we didn't want to look for long. We found ourselves in the modernly restored café in the basement of the castle. This is even accessible by wheelchair users via an elevator. The restaurant Café simply visited, we found on a small table. Service: The young staff all kind and very attentive. Overall, we were very well served by 1 Lord and 3 ladies. Drinks and meals were taken up and served after a pleasant waiting period. Food and drink: On the tables is the clear and well placed menu. This is complemented by a table in the café. Cake (which looked very good, the guests look at the counter themselves. We chose: mixed salad of the season with tuna, onions, olives and sheep cheese. Baguette. € 8.50 Mixed salad in large deep plates. Beautiful fresh salad, tomatoes and cucumber slices, pepper pieces, carrot skewer, corn, tuna, physalisdeko and a really fine balsamicodressing. Only 2 slices fresh (still warm!!! roasted baguette cried to opposition: Please add some bread! This came warm again and again after the first two baguette discs had found their way. 4 slices extra to € 1, for me absolutely ok. Petra is simply tolerated: A nice light and well-tasting lunch, with tuna there is better quality, but was ok. Potato with salad dress, herbs cucumber and smoked salmon at € 8.50 Here the salad dress of my previously described bowl was repeated in small form. In addition, a beautiful large pell potato with the quark and on the top of the smoked salmon. The arrangement in the aluminium foil Creativ Schwan... who needs creative pollution? Why can't you just leave a pell potato (beautiful German: or grill potatoes and garbage? The potato was only bedded for serving in Alushwan and could still be eaten strangely. Who wants to eat Alu? Back to the dish: A well-satured and finely decorated lunch with delicious potato! Both dishes were served together. Beverages: A dry white wine choir, 0.2 l to 3.90 € and an apple juice choir, 0.4 l to 3.60 €. Cleanliness and ambience: Modernism has arrived here. But with style we liked it. Everything very clean and well maintained. Comfortable seating, fresh tulip on the table and a battery candle (maybe security museum regulations are understandable here). The lighting in the basement is up. Later daylight overlights, essentially complemented by a large interior lighting with daylight character. Toilets were not visited. Conclusion on the total impression 4 – again happy (for such a tourist starting point above! (1 – certainly not again, 2 – hardly again, 3 – if it turns out again, 4 – happy again, 5 – definitely again on a kitchen trip ."

"In Kassel on an exaggerated Saturday evening and also on the day of the Documenta opening, where half the art-related world travels and is on its feet. After several windy, rainy, indecent days, the summer has just broken out. Everyone wants to sit out, show his slanted documenta outfit, show his eye-catching tattoos and decorative teas. What to do if you have hunger and thirst for 10 hours after walking, kissing and dazzling – but rather looking for a place of rest? The Friedrichsplatz falls flat due to the lack of Documenta lift. The Royal Square is one of the most central hotspots in Kassel, but this Saturday evening it seems to be a little bourgeois and medium to bodice. Wonderful! Here I'm looking for a place to dinner. The “king cellar to Cassel” is the first place I stumbled over. At Königsplatz, various shopping and gastronomy offers are grouped around a circular space with water games, trees and lots of tram transport: Saturn, DM market, clothes shops – on the other hand Bistros, Cafes, Italians, bourgeois locals. In summer, everyone offers more or less attractive opportunities to sit outside. The royal cellar has comfortable basket chairs on round bistro tables with glass plates. A larger group with spacious parasols at the front of the water games and 5-6 tables directly at the house wall. The latter are very protected by their location and are significantly calmer. In addition, in the evening the house wall stores a bit the sun of the day. The royal cellar is the right place for lovers of decent local cuisine. In addition to hearty and regional specialties (Ahle Wurst, Handkäs mit Musik, but also Eisbein and Gulaschsuppe and acidic niches), there are various fish dishes, 3 different salads, 3 soup variations, but also slightly twisted away like horse routine. A special card with shells is still pending – but it is urgent to recommend in the month of June... (the card that is taken to the table is also significantly smaller and dispenses with many of the specialties that are still praised at stop plates). In order for no guest to become too humble, it is already shown on the map that supplemental changes cost 1 euro, the change to roast potatoes even more. Luckily, I don't have a desire... The young service girl already discovers me in the first minute and immediately comes up with the menu on my refreshing head nodding. This deserves more than one special point, considering that my multi-day stay in Kassel was lined with many desperate waiting hours for service, food and payment. Here the service is characterized by wonderful kindness and naturalness, by an unfamiliar effort to serve and provide the guest well. How I enjoy it! (However, it seems to be in the kitchen. When I enter the guest room and look for the way to the toilets, the kitchen is sounded out of heavy cherries and screams). After all, the food is moving in the middle. One strives for defensiveness, but forgets completely quality, optics and creativity. The Gulasch soup (5.50 Euro) is hearty and highly saturating. However, the soup dispenser is thus fully tacked that you almost lose your appetite. The salad king cellar for 9.90 euros consists of mainly taste-neutral ingredients that are glued together with a sticky, mayonnaise-like salad sauce. Even after seasoning with plenty of salt and pepper, the tomato slices are hardly to be enjoyed. The slices of ham and cheese originate from the very simplest quality from the egg you already see the unfortunate chicken. Everything is quite sweet and tasteless, but at least crowned by a fresh bouquet of parsley. To do this, some slices of baguette, also very simple and comfortless. As nice as you can sit outside, the interior is so triste. On shiny, bright tile floor are stiff and uncomfortable looking bistro furniture grouped (backrests made of metal, no upholstery). Only the many green plants have a pleasant flair. But I wouldn't want to sit here in the guest room for 5 minutes. If the kindness and reliability of the young service had not been, I would have booked this dinner as a flop."

"We found this place in one of our trips to Kassel because we were dying for a burger. Good restaurant to taste home made burgers and with a great American atmosphere. It is also a sportsbar with a lot of TV and a good sports offer. Price are in the average, They have a large choice of different burgers and different sizes too. Certainly I recommend this place."

"Mein Mann und ich haben Montag Abend 20.00 Uhr noch auf die schnelle ein Restaurant in der Nähe vom Brasselsberg/ Nordshausen/ Wilhelmshöhe gesucht, was allerdings geöffnet hat. Gar nicht so einfach. Viele haben Montag Ruhetag. Das Stilbruch zum Glück nicht, sodass wir dort eingekehrt sind. Location einfach, etwas rustikal und man wird an früher erinnert, dank alter Schilder an Wand und Decke. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und kam sehr schnell an den Tisch. Die Speisekarte ist übersichtlich und ebenfalls einfach gestaltet, aber dafür ist das Essen sehr gut! Ich hatte Schnitzel Rucola. Also sehr dünnes, perfekt angebratenes Schnitzel mit leckerer Kruste und darauf war Tomate, Zwiebeln, Rucola und Parmesan Käse überbacken. Ein Traum. Die Pommes waren ebenfalls lecker. Nicht zu dünn, nicht zu weich, nicht zu hell oder dunkel und vom Geschmack genau richtig gesalzen. Für mich die genau richtigen Pommes :-) Dazu gab es noch einen kleinen Salat, ebenfalls lecker. Für mich das perfekte Essen zum kleinen Preis. Mein Mann hatte Hüftsteak mit Pommes und Salat. Auch das sah lecker aus und ihm hat es geschmeckt. Für 2 Personen mit 1x große Sprit, 2x alkoholfreies Hefeweizen und 2x Gerichten plus Trinkgeld haben wir 35 Euro gezahlt. Für mich ist das Preis/ Leistungsverhältnis gerechtfertigt"

"I enjoyed this place the second I discovered it. I visited the best restaurant in town after a one hour walk and they were only taking reservations so I was desperate for a good place to eat. This bar had an awesome waitress that spoke...English. Recommended schnitzel and beer. Couldn't have agreed more. Projection screen was playing local futbol game. Great atmosphere."
