"We were seated for lunch at one of the round booths near the bar and we could have a decent conversation while enjoying some good food. In my case I tried for the first time the pizza with various types of cold cuts and caramelized...onions, very tasty and still quite light. The service is always consistently good in spite of the large volume of customers"

"They accommodated a group of 11 on the fly, put us on the patio when it was closed, but warm enough to really enjoy the atmosphere. Kat was amazing as was Alex. Perfect sense of ensuring the guest experience but not overbearing."

"I have visited this restaurant numerous times and asked for Cathy when she was working. She was probably the best waitress I've ever encountered...always went above and beyond to give you a great experience. However, on our most recent visit, I was saddened to learn that Cathy no longer worked there.As usual, I had the quarter chicken with fries, and my party decided to try either the new roast beef dinner or the new hot roast beef sandwich dinner. Everyone really enjoyed their meals. I tried a sampling of the hot roast beef sandwich and I was impressed.I wasn't impressed with the service, however. Our waitress seemed very unsure of herself. The time it took to get our appetizers and entrees was abnormally very slow. Our waitress forgot to apply the coupons we had clearly provided at the beginning of our meal, so we had to ask for adjusted bills (with another long delay). The restaurant was not busy.I'd be willing to bet that the service issue was an anomaly, and I'll be going back...hopefully Cathy returns by then!"

"We have never been to a Swiss Chalet restaurant with such slow service before. It was truly awful. The two couples at the table beside us complained to the server but it didn’t make a bit of difference. There appeared to be plenty of staff...but they didn’t seem to want to make any effort to serve us, they were standing around chatting to each other. We finally received our food and it was OK, typical Swiss Chalet food. As the server didn’t come back after delivering the food, we put our coats on and went and found her at the bar to pay the bill. We will not be back."

"Menu was surprisingly expensive but we were expecting amazing food.Veal was dry. Sauce lacking in flavour and not a true Marsala sauce. No seasoning on the veggies. Really good mashed potatoes though.Octopus was mushy with no flavour served with flavourless rice.Wine was served halfway though our entree. Server spent at least half of our time there chatting with the people at the next table.We were never told of the dinner specials and found out about them after inquiring about what the people at the next table were eating.To top things off, there was a nail sticking out of our table that ripped my husband's shorts.Live music was good. Hence the one star.Never again."

"What can you say more about chain fast food place. People were nice. Fries I got was half burnt and half soggy. Lettuce in Dave's single burger was wilted really sadly. Spicy chicken burger was good. Chili was salty like it was sitting there whole day. Probably was since I got them at 6 pm. But we keep going to fast food because it's fast and convenient."
