"That is a great place to go. they serve botanas, have draft beer and good food. there are 2 days, the second is a beautiful terrace. the waiter remembered us and our preference in the beer and that I am vegetarian. sometimes there are music...playing on the first level and often they show sport on huge flat screen televisions"

"This Italian restaurant is very good and is the only decent resturant that we could find south of the Periferico in Oaxaca. During "comida hours" it has wonderful dishes including salmon which is a bit hard to find in Oaxaca. On Fridays and Saturdays, they stay open to 11:00 PM and serve pizza and salad only. Pizzas are thin crust and cooked in a wood burning stove. The restaurant has a nice wine list, but the wine is heavily marked up.. 2.5 to 3 times the retail cost. We found the house wine by the glass to be pretty bad, so we always ended up paying about $30 for wine which is beyond what we usually budget. There is also a bar for cocktails as an option.The service is excellent and the waiters speak both Spanish and English.Closed on Sundays."

"This was my second meal at El Colibri on the northern side of Oaxaca de Juarez, in a nice neighborhood, near the central bus station. The food, service and atmosphere were exceptionally good. I had a very tasty pasta dish, and my companion had a...nice, juicy steak. Well worth the walk or taxi ride."
