"We had Sunday lunch at this restaurant on a day when several other eateries were closed. I suppose we should have realised when we got inside that things weren 't going to be excellent: it 's one of those places that probably looked great 20 years ago but hasn 't been revamped since then, just added to: it 's cluttered with old nick-nacks, faded pictures etc; it has cramped tables and poor lighting, tacky menus: the space needs bringing into the 21st century. As for the food, the starter of antipasti was average in quality and not presented with any care. The wild boar dish was acceptable 'homely ' cooking. The guinea fowl (chicken?? was tough and contained very little actual meat. There were a few locals eating here, who seemed to be happy with the food, so it could be that I 'm judging by the wrong standards. The food was not cheap, so I feel that better value can be found elsewhere in the town. The staff (members of the same family were friendly."
