"We were on the hunt for a degustation menu and Devonshire's sounded on the money. It was rather small (and I don't mind intimate) but felt like a bit of a tight squeeze. The first thing that put me off was that while waiting for our drinks I could see a waitress standing at the bar having a drink. I don't mean to imply that she was drinking alcohol, but it's one of the first rules of good hospitality, the staff should not eat nor drink in front of the customers. Especially not thirsty customers waiting for their drinks.The courses flowed at a good pace and the service was friendly. The price was very reasonable. Some of the food was quite lovely but unfortunately some dishes involved deep fried foods. You don't go to degustation for deep fried food, you go to the fish & chip shop for that. It was a nice experience and good value for money, but we wouldn't return. The point of degustation is to blow your mind, and unfortunately Devonshire didn't."

"The wine and cheese were great. The 3 stars is from the service. With 30mins to close we were told multiple times that they close in 30mins. We were waiting for a friend to have dinner elsewhere so we thought we'd drop in and order a glass of rosé and a croissant. The croissant was stale and when asked if we could purchase cheese to go with the croissant, we were told they could fix up an apperitivo for free which should have come with the wine anyhow. When the apperitivo arrived, we were so impressed with the cheese that we asked what it was. It was clear she didn't know but proceeded to tell us it was a hard cheese from Italy. When we prompted again, she decided to check and found it was in fact a French goats cheese but if we wanted to purchase any, we couldn't eat it there as they were closing (yes, I understood you the first time). Disappointing first visit."

"I was a bit of Hestantant when I saw the restaurant on a Saturday morning at 10 o'clock, though the breakfast actually brushed me. I ordered the eggs Benedict with every bit as a bit like the last. My partner in crime ordered the full Monty, a great break that he said he would take off his clothes. All in all the best breakfast I had for some time. <br>"

"Complete Waste of Money & Time. <br>

Cheese platter, French bread and Olive tapenade were the saviours.<br>
Croque Monsieur, worst I have ever eaten. <br>
Uncooked and Looked like a backpacker cheese on toast. Disneyland Paris have more flavour and far superior. <br>
Beef Bourguignon: dry stuck together pasta / beef did have flavour however dish was a let down. <br>
Confit duck: dry fatty and oily as were the potatoes served. When you smell the oil from the plates you know something is wrong. <br>
It pains me to mention the service was slower than me walking to the gym. <br>
Overall complete disappointment. <br>
Shame I had high hopes"
