"We had a party of 12 and needed a reservation on a Thursday. Sherwood Forest is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays and didn't open until 4pm on Wednesday. Our only option was to use OpenTable and select 3 reservations of 4 each (the most allowed). I contacted the restaurant on Wednesday after 4pm to explain what we had done to see about putting us near each other. Instead the man who answered the phone berated me for making the reservations that way and stated they are getting off of OpenTable for that reason. He said we would probably not be seated together and could have 3 different servers. I told him we were ok with that if that's what they had to do. I mentioned that the other option was that we could try somewhere else and he implied that they would not miss 12 diners because they were full every evening. Thursday morning I received a confirmation for a party of 12. I would have rated the overall experience higher had I not had to deal with the rude, ungrateful man who I spoke with on the phone. Sherwood Forest is doing itself a dis-service in making patrons deal with this person. In the end we had a very nice dinner with an excellent waitress."
