"Party of 11. They set the table where we could all talk and hear each other. Food was really good. Their broiled and fried chicken is amazingly moist and tender. Good selections even on the senior menu which we had a few. Prompt, friendly service. We were all very happy there."

"Let's go. Eating at the Tackle Box is a LOT like a classic Clint Eastwood movie... The good, the bathroom and the Ugly . 1., the GOOD. The food is cooked to order, served hot and fresh, with decent portions, and depending on the days there are meals specialties to have. The spices are near Spot-on and come with lots of spices. The atmosphere is classic country, with pool and video games, and a fully dimensioned bar. I ordered the Boar Burger with Fritten, my wife ordered the French Dip with Fritten, and my son ordered the Fried Gator with Fritten (ALL pictured). We also ordered the Fried Mushrooms as an appetizer. Don't let mince words... the boar was well cooked and HEAVY, and had a light playy taste that was expected. The Gator was perfectly seasoned and slightly chewing...again, expected. The French dip was full of meat and vegetables, and the meat was tender. 2nd, the BAD... for the food. Since everything is prepared to order, we waited and waited... and waited. Each order came in 10 minutes increments that did not belong. For our orders it took a total of 40 minutes. Eating a meal as a family was almost ruined. 3., the UGLY... the lack of enthusiasm by the customer, the cook and the server. Everyone looked like they could or should be somewhere, but there, and the amount of flies in the facility. It is hard to eat when you constantly fly watting from both your drink and meal. This place is 3 stars alone through food, but has plenty of space to improve, especially when ordering out and customer service. Yeah, I understand it's a hole in the wall, but it should be BETTER. I can eat here again, but not with the family."

"The first time here since the renovation and I love it! came here to brunch and everything was great and the mood was high. The staff was the most beautiful and very accommodating. Very recommend their rear terrace for large groups, the fire pit tables comfortably place 6 adults, unless you are not really close to your friends."

"Came by this place to grab a burger fries and a drink, had Pepsi so big plus in my book. Posted a picture of what I got here, it's the skyscraper burger with these amazing season fries. Waitress was really nice, was talking to this elderly guy at the bar like she was his granddaughter. So leave Carie a nice tip if you come here. Overall, nice small town dinner in the middle of downtown Chico."
