"I've been living in Lausanne for 9 months and I'm not going out to eat almost never, because I just don't want to spend my hard-earned money in restaurants that I found to be very overpriced on average in food quality and ambience AND... The places I've been like that, I'm spending a fortune and I'm not really impressed. An exception is a restaurant that I checked for TA in December 2012, great food, but...the prices! For example, I usually feel quite demolished after spending $150CHF! on average pizza for a family of four, funny that.... Sabor Latino was a life savior. It is nothing special to look at, the service is not good, the food is not skin cuisne, but it is a fantastic place to relax, listen to some Latin American melodies, and simply to a good, hearty meal. I'm pretty sure it's cheaper than cooking at home given the prices in this city. We paid 32CHF for two, WoW! The owner, David, is really nice, he speaks French with an accent, but he speaks it well. Of course he speaks Spanish, which is very useful. I was twice with my husband and both times the offers are very similar, I think it is probably the same dish only with different meat, depending on what you order. We ordered the Churrasco, grilled beef and Sabana de Cerdo, baked pork apron steak. Served with lots of rice, frits, curtains, egg on the Churrasco and salad. Too much strength for me and I will next time ask for only salad no rice what I am sure he will be happy. They also serve a beautiful house made salsa, hot and spicy, which meets the place. The second time we visited, David the owner stopped us on the way and said he had something for us. I was glad he remembered us and also really happy for him to give us a LOYALTY CARD! I love it! I leave Lausanne for good next month and my only regret is that I had not found El Sabor Latino earlier!!! Gracias David, que pena que no te encontramos mas temprano!!!!"

"The quality is above Mac Donald, especially for the French Pommes. The place was quite dirty, the floor was sticky, tables were not cleaned (1st floor), only the toilets were descent. We know what we came for, but we could try."

"Nous sommes allées manger dans ce restaurant avec des copines car j'avais vu qu'il était dans la clé romande et parraissait sympa. Au final, extremement déçue et je ne le recommande pas du tout! La serveuse avait l'air un peu sur les nerfs ce qui fait que quand on posait une question elle repondait sèchement, mais c'est sûrement dû au fait que le patron lui hurlait dessus et ça dans la salle devant tout le monde! De plus, j'ai pris en entrée une salade avec foie gras à 19.50 ou il y avait deux malheureux bout de foie gras et une petite salade et mon amie qui a pris la même chose mais en plat à 26.- se retrouve avec juste plus de salade et les même deux bouts de foie gras! Et quand on le fait remarquer à la serveuse, elle nous dit que le cuisinier s'est trompé dans l'entrée et a mis des morceaux plus "gros" que d'habitude dans l'entrée! Et pour couronner le tout, beaucoup d'attente alors que nous étions 10 dans le restaurants!!Je déconseille vraiment!!"

"Not really good, nothing special. this place was very good and with a large amount. Now it is really not worth it and the "Crowd" is even bad. altish, déjà-vu and no taste in there dishes. also some plates and glasses are not so clean. emincé de veau a l’estragon looks like a sick house neal, ghe club sandwich thick and heavy, the French fries uneatable and the oil must really be changed. ... I would have given a bad vote, but the staff is sweet, smiling and nice, but not enough!"

"I have been to the Mood a couple of times, i.e. morning cappuccino and lunch. Finally, I have found a place in Lausanne which is offering excellent cappuccino and also the pain au chocolat was very good. Lunch was also of high quality, apart from the menu there are two daily plates, of which one is vegetarian and CHF1 cheaper than the fish/meat one. The place is cosy and offers free WiFi. You may want to book a table in advance for lunch."

"I went there with a friend for lunch. We ate on the cafe side. The place also has a more formal restaurant side.On the good side, the location is just a few steps away south of the station, the service is prompt and friendly.The place has little (no) charme. The menu du jour at CHF 24.00 was not specially cheap compared to nearby competitive restaurants. I had a kangaroo steak with some fries and a half tomato. The plate did not come with a salad but was ok.The place did not give me a lasting impression."

"Muito sinceramente detestei. Se calhar era um mau dia para tentar comer neste restaurante, e tivemos azar. Nada do que pedimos tinha sabor... pelo menos bom sabor. As ameijoas vinham 80% fechadas literalmente, ninguém perguntou porque o tacho ia cheio para trás... as gambas... as gambas era tudo menos gambas... muita gordura e sem sabor, quanto ao leitão... tenho a certeza que o animal ha alguns meses atrás ja tinha sido leitão, mas se calhar passou muito tempo no forno e chegou a porco... muito mau... desloquei-me a Lausanne 100 km para deixar uma gorjeta de 140 fr eu a minha senhora e a nossa filha de 2 anos... e depois fomos almoçar ao McDonald's para saciar a fome... aprendemos mesmo assim qualquer coisa... aprendemos a não mais la voltar."
