"Having made reservations for a party of 50 for 5:15 pm Feb. 25/17 we arrived on time. The restaurant was also aware that we were attending the 7:00 pm hockey game. Once seated a hostess took our drink order. within 10 minutes. Twenty minutes later at 5:40 at least 20 of us, maybe more gave our hostesses our food order. Then the fun began. We waited and waited and waited and waited. I personally spoke with our hostess about 6:15 and told her that we had a 7:00 pm hockey game to attend. Her reply, the orders are on their way out. Ya right. At 6:40,25 minutes after I spoke with our hostess the food was just coming out. It took 1 hour to prepare the orders for, as I have said, 20 of us. Did we eat? NO! We were already up and walking out the door. I personally even told the hostess that I wasn't paying for it or my beverage. I believe others also did not pay for their beverages.Would I go back? Ya right. I wouldn't go back even if the owner of Riley's Pub, at 104 King St E Oshawa Ontario gave all of us one of their most expense meals"

"I used to eat Swiss Chalet takeout, but some years ago the business changed quite a bit. My brother wanted to order in from them so I went with chicken ribs, asking for rib sauce to be on the side because I don't like...syrupy sweet sauce on my meat. The ribs I received looked as though they'd been scraped to get the sauce off. Unfortunately all that was left were the bones and flesh between the bones. The bones were fully exposed. I can't believe they prepared and delivered this crap to our door. The chicken was tiny, and unremarkable. I ate it anyway. Within a couple hours I got nausea and had to visit the reading room for a long break. Never again!!!"

"Stopped by for lunch with husband. Ordered the Halibut fish as chip special. Was looking forward to having the salad in place of the fries. Disappointing that the only salad dressing available was Thousand Island. Passed on the salad. Surely with 3 people working, and not busy. Surely someone could of walked done to the No Frills to get other salad dressings.Halibut was great as usual, fries over cooked. Coleslaw had way to much dressing, un eatible."

"My wife and I stopped in to re-try the restaurant as we LOVE Southern Smoked BBQ.We tried the dinner for 2 Friday Special that we saw online.What it states online does not tell you that you are limited to the choices you can make! In our case it did not matter as we were satisfied with the selections but it can be an issue if you don't knowThere was also a piece of corn bread with each order but it was so small it was eaten in one bite!Started with corn nuggets that were great and the sauce was very appropriate for them - will order again.My wife had the quarter chicken which tasted great but was VERY small portion. Fed her but she is a small eater and said it just fed her.I had the half rack of ribs and they were VERY meaty and tasted great with sauce added. More than enough.Desert was very big and tasted homemade (apple cobbler)$40.00 for the dinner alone - I'm not sure it's worth it.Overall I don't know if there was any improvement from our first visit and we will have to think about wether we would be back. Maybe?"

"Fortunately or unfortunately we picked one of the most busy times, Good Friday however the service was good the take out was lined up out the door but we were seated in no time. I have to say the halibut was excellent not greasy and the fries we good to. We have tried many fish & chip places and this one is definately we will revisit."

"I don’t eat fast food much, so when I do I want it to be worth it. I ordered the beyond meat burger (recommended by someone) and onion rings. The burger was so good and I usually hate veggie burgers. The onion rings were a bit soggy, but still good. I ordered through the app and it was ready as soon as I got to the window. The service was really good too."
