"My wife and I sung in this restaurant some nights ago. as frequent visitors of the playa del carmen we have tried most restaurants on the pre- and bypass. after visiting longosteria I can say that this restaurant is the same or probably better...value than most on the only regret that it is no longer visitor to add the beautiful atmosphere. only half of the tables were occupied under the dach of palapa."

"This is THE place to go for a delicious and inexpensive snack or meal. For meat-lovers, the authentic German sausages, fresh off the grill, will appeal. According to the local Germans who eat here, the sausages are just like they are at home.A personal favorite is the chicken gyro platter (also available as a sandwich). The chicken is so moist and nicely seasoned; comes with french fries and cabbage salad. It is really delicious and at 45 pesos, a great value. Another item to try, when available, are the pretzels - soft and unlike anything you've ever tried (unless you've had them in Germany).You can eat there or get your food to go. Can also buy sausages to take home (120 pesos per kilo) so you can grill them at home. Enjoy!"

"As Cod and Halibut is not available here fresh, they need to do what they can with the local catch. Well I feel they have picked the wrong fish, it is to moist and doesn't seem as though it is cooked enough even though it is. Then there is the Tartar sauce, while going for what I thought was more authentic Fish and Chips with the simple sauce, I was sadly mistaken. They do make a Tartar sauce but it is more Gourmet and not the sauce that most of us were hoping for. Sometimes just keeping it simple is best, and I am not impressed they are advertising authentic when you have a Chef that wants to change it up.... I'm all for changing it up but then advertise that way. As far as I and a friend that went for lunch...they missed the boat.... Overcooked batter, Undercooked Fish and no real Tartar sauce. I will not be visiting again."

"This place is a favorite when visiting Playa del Carmen. On a street full of vendors, shoppers, restaurants and overwhelmed tourists, this is the place to go to relax for a while and just watch it all pass by. Enjoy delicious fresh food and cocktails served by very friendly staff who aim to please... our server on the last two visits was Miguel. He remembered our names and even our dog’s name! A favorite afternoon snack is the tequila queso fundido and the cerviche camaron. There’s lots to choose from for vegetarians too."
